Our visit to this prime location was little more than a brief letdown. Along with some friends, my cousin and I placed an order for the Crew pack to go and an 8-piece combo for dine-in as we were both really hungry. The male cashier appears and behaves inexperienced when taking orders, and he almost always gets them wrong, which added significantly to our complete dissatisfaction while eating there. It appeared that the manager was a young woman who did not provide much assistance to the rookie cashier, for which I felt deeply sorry. Even at this point the manager wore airpods while working and didn't take them off until she noticed our frustration over all the mistakes. In our friend group, we were the last to place an order, and several people arrived shortly after us. I couldn't remember just how many pieces of chicken were missing when my friend's order arrived, but we immediately fixed it. Since serving and preparing meals can be fairly hectic, we weren't upset at first when my cousin, who had ordered the crew pack to go, had it ready for eat in instead. They then apologized and provided her the crew pack in a to-go bag. (spoiler they did not even give us the dips that was supposed to come with the to-go order) At this point my order for dine-in has still not arrived, but the group of individuals who ordered later have already received their food, and my friends were waiting for me to get my order so we could all eat together. I told them to start first as it might take some time. You can only imagine how disappointed I was to learn that my food would not be prepared at all if I hadn't approached the counter to inquire about it. My friends had all finished their orders when I was still waiting for mine, so I had to stand up at the counter to wait for it, not expecting that a newly ordered customer would receive their food much sooner than I did. All things considered; we had a bad meal at this particular restaurant chain. It was unfortunate that the manager didn't seem competent when leading her team; instead, she forced an inexperienced employee to do something they weren't comfortable with and provided them with no assistance. I could even see the anxiety in the guys' faces when he was...
Read moreThe good: wings were great, good flavours and cooked to the perfect crispness.
I liked that bone and boneless wings are the same price. Some places charge more for boneless.
the staff were really nice and super helpful being our first visit she made some great recommendations.
-Restaurant was pretty clean. I didn’t use the restroom so cannot comment on that
The medium: music was a vibe, and I enjoyed the playlist they had going… however next door was blasting their music and you could hear it and the base through the walls so that was a bummer. Essentially hearing two songs different genre at the same time. There could have been an event going on so maybe that is a one time thing? But this is also something the restaurant can’t really control.
I like that their fries are fresh and real, but sadly my order was mostly short crispy end pieces, not very many long potato pieces. Seasoning I chose was cajan and it was perfect. Hopefully next time I’ll get a better batch of fries and not just the small end pieces.
The bad: I was pretty disappointed that the blue cheese and the ranch dip were super watery. You could barely taste the flavor of the dip itself. So when dipping my veggie sticks it doesn’t get coated and just slips right off (see video attached)
Conclusion:
Overall the restaurant got super busy after we ordered, so it’s clearly the place to go for good wings. We really enjoyed it and look forward to going back to try another set of flavours. At today’s visit we had garlic Parmesan, spicy korean q and the smoked BBQ. - I didn’t love the Korean q but do recommend the other two.
Notes::: I do not think this restaurant is wheelchair accessible/ stroller accessible as there was only 1 door to enter and exit. I struggled with my small stroller on the big front step. I suggest the restaurant look into the “gap ramp” from stop gap...
Read moreMy experience at this Wingstop in Toronto was nothing short of a disappointment, and Arnab was a major contributor to my frustration. From the moment I walked in to pick up my order, it was clear that the service was subpar. The soda machine was conveniently out of order, and when I agreed to purchase a bottle at an inflated price, I was willing to overlook it. However, what I couldn't overlook was the fact that they managed to forget the very drink they had charged me extra for.
I received a massive bag that was supposed to contain three items - a drink, fries, and wings. That's a complete meal, so how on earth did they manage to forget my drink? It's a baffling oversight. Upon realizing the mistake, I promptly returned to the restaurant and informed Arnab about the missing drink. To my astonishment, Arnab not only failed to apologize but also had the audacity to attempt to shift the blame onto me.
What makes this even more infuriating is that there was not a single other customer in the restaurant at the time, so it's not like they were overwhelmed with orders. Messing up a simple order when you have only one to handle is inexcusable. Arnab's lack of basic customer service and accountability was utterly infuriating. I expected better from a well-established U.S. chain, and sadly, this Wingstop location in Toronto, with Arnab's involvement, failed to deliver on even the most basic aspects of fast food service. Save your time and money, and look elsewhere for...
