My partner and I are not locals to this area, however we have been wanting to try ONO pies for months, way before they had this storefront! I was finally able to reserve a time to pick up two pies - one regular peperoni, and one spicy peperoni. Hurray!

Upon arriving around 3:07PM on a Saturday (our pickup was for 3:15PM) we were greeted in a friendly manner and were told our order would be ready within a couple of minutes. While being inside the store briefly, it was extremely clean and visually appealing. There was a conveniently placed bench/table out front of the store, perfect for waiting for our pies and as promised, they arrived hot and fresh out of the oven in no time. as an added bonus, our order came with cookies from @couragecookies.to.

My partner and I decided to enjoy the pizza at the table on such a lovely day, and I believe the owner's wife noticed and came out with paper plates and a napkin, which was very kind of her and greatly appreciated. The pizza itself was extremely worth the hype and the drive from Brampton - each slice was generously topped with pepperoni slices, each bite was crunchy, and really is the best pizza I have tasted in the city. We also really enjoyed the homemade dipping sauce. Someone driving by even asked if it was worth it and we didn't hesitate to say YES!

Overall, our experience at ONO was extremely pleasant, and they provided exceptional customer service, with the pizzas being worth the hype. We love the story as to how ONO came to fruition, and with my partner being a pizza connoisseur who is on the mission to find the best pizza in the city he believes this is it. As an added bonus, they heat up well in the oven as leftovers, and the taste and texture of the pizza is not lost. We are more than happy to come down for a pizza in the near future from ONO, and we recommend them to family...

I drove from Oshawa to try out ONO pizza, as my Girlfriend has been hearing stellar reviews on this place, (specifically the cupping pepperoni pizza) so we bit the bullet and took the hour drive there. The place smelled amazing, and the staff were super friendly. After receiving the pizza, the presentation of the finished product looked really promising! So we drove 2 minutes across the street to a park, where we could eat in the grass! After we Pulled apart the beautifully cooked dough and it's delightfully crispy crust, the let down began 😓... The flavour... very underwhelming at the least, picking my daughter's pepperoni off and eating them like I normally do, I thought to myself 'this pepperoni doesn't have much taste to it' shrugged it off handed my daughter her piece back, and grabbed one for myself! On my first bite.. nothing, no sparks, no amusement of the mouth, no notes from the sauce, the cheese was good quality but was very flat line. Overall just nothing was happening in the pallet. 3 pieces later, still the same thing. I end up realizing I'm just eating this pizza chasing for flavour that will just never come. (stage 4 pizza addict here) My daughter only ate half of her piece before saying she doesn't like it, and that is extremely unusual, usually she will pound back at least 2 pieces of pizza minimum and always "loves it". Needless to say, I wasn't happy with the outcome. If comparing the flavour pizza to a roller coaster... it would be the equivalent of that ride that's those Ford model T's that go along the tracks on flat ground. Still had a good day, very friendly staff, had a nice park date out of it.

But if you're in Oshawa looking for cupping pepperoni... Save yourself the drive to Toronto and get the one from the joint...

"One Night Only" is a bit of a misnomer as I find myself here 3 nights a week... (oops).

Having enjoyed many of the elevated pizza joints in Toronto (North of Brooklyn, Blondies, Maker, Badiali, Superpoint, Piano Piano, Bar Poet, etc. etc.) I can confidently say that ONO makes one of the top 3 pies in Toronto.

It's thin, but filling. Crispy outside, and soft inside. The toppings are high quality and also thinly sliced so they cook proportionately to the pizza. To quote Portnoy - "the undercarriage is cooked to perfection". They have about 6 creative options as well as a rotating special. Also they make bomb wings which is surprising for a pizza place. Lastly, I appreciate that the flour is organic - so if you're like my wife who has a mild gluten intolerance, you can eat this pie no problem.

  • One caveat is that they only have one dipping sauce option - which is non-traditional. It's like if garlic aioli had a baby with tzatziki - it's decent, but it's definitely too small for the large size of the pizza so you need at least two. Or .. if you're like me and you dip every bite you need 4. However this doesn't reflect poorly on the pizza at all so just more of...

One Night Only Pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in Toronto. Better than Badiali and I don’t say that lightly. The crust is crispy, chewy with lots of flavour. Sauce is perfect, not too sweet, just clean and balanced. Cheese ratio is on point. Staff are all great too. No attitude, just good vibes and solid service. If you’re still waiting in line at the other spots, you’re missing it. This is the one.

One Night Only might be my new favorite pizza shop in Toronto, and I just went to Badiali last week. The dough is just perfect. You get a satisfying *crunch* every single bite, yet it is not overwhelming and doesn't hurt the roof of your mouth. There is no sag at all, and the toppings just perfectly stick to the slice no matter what. Every slice comes with a free sour cream dip which perfectly complements each bite. The atmosphere is simple yet romantic and perfectly embodies the neighborhood pizza joint. The service was super friendly, and you could just tell they were passionate people making amazing food for their community. I went on a Saturday around 2 p.m. and there was no line (which seems crazy to me). Got my 3 slices within 5 minutes and blissfully ate them on their seating arrangement right outside the shop. The pricing was more than fair. I got 3 big slices with 3 dips (free with each slice) and a can of soda for 23$. ONO might seem a little out of the way, but it is absolutely worth the detour. It is without question in the conversation for the best pizza place in the city.
