We’ve been to many different MEZZA locations, but this one stands out, unfortunately, for the wrong reasons. The main issue was the lack of customer service. As soon as we walked in, every employee had a tense, unfriendly expression. Not a single smile, not even a “hi, how are you?.” It felt like we had walked in at the wrong time, or maybe right in the middle of an argument. The atmosphere was cold and uncomfortable from the very beginning. The front door was visibly dirty and covered in greasy fingerprints around the handle, which already gave a bad first impression. At the counter, when we were asked to choose between metal or plastic utensils, we reluctantly chose plastic, even though I usually prefer sustainable options, because the metal ones looked unwashed and sticky. The staff seemed confused and disorganized, unsure of what to do. One person said one thing, another said something else, and no one seemed to know how to take an order properly. It was frustrating and didn’t feel professional. Sadly, we didn’t enjoy our experience at this location and wouldn’t come back. It’s really sad because usually we enjoy eating at Mezza a lot (for example in Moncton or Charlottetown) and we drove for 30 minutes to eat...
Read moreWell, I had high hopes as I am a big fan of Lebanese cuisine. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
Let's get the facts out in front:
Chicken Shawarma - 70% lettuce, 15% assorted veg, 10% chicken, 5% sauce. If I wanted a dry lettuce wrap, I would have stayed home.
Tabouli - 90% parsley, bulgur wheat less than 5%, mint non-existent. When you want to eat greens this dish will provide you with more than your daily recommended amount.
Falafel - on a bed of fat sticky rice with a side of veg and a white sauce dumped over the works. ONE, only one falafel in the box. Spice-light, spice-free, spice AKA Waldo (can you find it)...sad, I love falafel - this wasn't like anything I've had before. Question here: Why do you advertise it as a "vegetarian" falafel?
Staff where warm and welcoming. The premises -that I could see- all looked...
Read moreI was sooo excited for this location to open in Bridgewater! I always stop at the one in Hammonds Plains when going by and also the one in HSC. I have ate at this one twice so far. It is good but disappointing. I'm hoping it's because they are new and are working out the glitches. I always get the chicken shwarma wrap. At this location I have found there is hardly any chicken ... I see at other locations they always weight the chicken out.. but here they aren't which could be the issue. Hopefully they fix this. I always add feta cheese to my chicken shwarma wrap .. at other locations they don't charge extra but here they charge $1 .. I don't care if will pay the extra BUT both times they forgot and I had to ask them to add it... so that was annoying. Staff is friendly...
