Main Street Diner — Restaurant in Town of Essex

I like this place. Had a great experience during this visit.

Pros.

Food was amazing. Everything was cooked property. They made a burger during breakfast for my super picky kid and he liked it. That in itself was very telling. Lots of seating. Seated quickly. Waited on quickly Food delivered very fast My amazing waitress even refilled my coffee and the coffee was not bad either.

Cons.

Drafty by the front windows and door. This place can get packed, once it gets packed everything slows down, however if your not in a hurry, who cares.

When ever my family and I pass through Essex with hunger for a good breakfast, this is were we stop.

I had the strangest experience at this diner. Ordered lunch for my coworkers and I, only had my credit card as my debit was back home in Windsor.. when I got there they only took debit. No big deal, told them I didn't have debit and left. They call me 2 hours later and yell at me for leaving. Told me it was rude to walk out because I only had my credit card. I tried explaining why I didnt have my debit and she hung up on me. Not entirely sure why you guys called back 2 hours later to yell about it and hang up on me. All I know is it's not my fault.. maybe have more paying options? Weirdest customer service I've ever...

My dad and I came here for breakfast. We sat down and were promptly waited on by the only person on staff that day. The diner was busy but my expectations were exceeded tenfold. We have been doing a tour so to speak every Saturday of restaurants in town with the best breakfast - and hands down this has been our best experience. Not only did she get our drinks and take and fill our order, she kept the coffee cups full all the while completely by herself. Fastest service and the best breakfast in town in my opinion.
