Luong's Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Shelburne

*Disclaimer- I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews for places unless really necessary, but I’m at a loss.

This is on behalf of my parents, and sister who were dining at Luongs a few days ago. They ordered dinner for 3 or 4, and when the waitress brought out the food, all was going well until she spilled the entire metal dish of spare ribs all over the table and my dad, mom, and sister. This dish was fresh from the kitchen- so extremely hot! Obviously it hurt them, not to mention they were all covered in sticky greasy sauce. I understand accidents happen, but the real problem lies with how it was handled. The waitress did not apologize/ask if they were ok, she did not move them to a clean table- she just wiped it off the table and floor and brought them more ribs, she also did not offer them any other napkins to clean the mess off of themselves. At the end of the dinner, no action was taken as an apology - no discount, no verbal apology, nothing! As my family was standing there paying the full bill covered in their food! My parents could have caused a scene but chose not to, hoping that someone, anyone there would do the right thing, and try to make amends for this...

The food here is so not fresh my fried rice was stale The wontons were completely dried out I spit my chicken ball out of my mouth because it was utterly disgusting. The smell was unbearable of the chicken ball. It’s spelt like urine. I said to waitress I refuse to pay for this food was in an argument with the owner and he said it not right you not pay I’ll take off chicken balls $49 for three people for food. That was not good. I almost puked. I didn’t even eat it after that. The service was terrible don’t think the lady knew how to smile. We've eaten here twice now on our trips back and forth from the city and had the same server both times, an older lady with no personality. Both times she never came back to check up on us and and only paid attention when we stood up to go to the cash to pay our bill vs bring it to the table for us. I had to go to the cash both times to ask for a togo container and even then she didn't take the hint that we were done to bring us our bills. They don't seem to keep the drinks for kids stocked. The food is only ok, I've definitely had better. Don't think I'll be giving it...
