Today was my first time in Slave Lake (for work). I was contemplating where to eat, and randomly pulled over in front of this restaurant. I am thankful that I found this place as I have been on a Korean food kick lately! I tried their garlic soy fried chicken. It was different than I’m used to, but still very tasty — lots of minced garlic. I also tried gimmari which was new to me, but very tasty (glass noodles wrapped in seaweed and tempura batter)! That came as a recommendation from the talented young women handling things (감사합니다). I also got to speak to her husband to get a recommendation for 삼겹살 (pork belly) in Edmonton. Thank you for that recommendation! I highly appreciate that this restaurant has a number of authentic Korean menu items like tteokboki, even though I was too scared of the spice to try it. Great prices for everything I got (a side order of fries, too). Thank you for making my first trip to Slave Lake memorable and tasty. I hope to come back soon! 지금은 여기까지입니다. 안녕! Found this place on our way from high level to edmonton. Bulgogi beef noodle bowl, very well cooked flabourful beef served with thick noodles and vegetables Bibimbap was exactly the way it is supposed to be. The teriyaki rice bowl was also a very good meal. We also ordered korean fried chicken, it was then the rating went from 4 to 5. That was the besy fries chicken i ever had. I order half and half with 4 seoul express special and show cheese. Even with the sauce all over it, the chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy and tender inside. The service was good and good ambience. Will definitely go back there for that fried chicken. Also tried their mango bubble tea with tapioca pearls which turned out to be really tasty.

April 28, 2023 New owner? They added Vietnamese dishes to their menu. They downsized fried chicken combo’s 2 side dishes 2 to only 1. My wife used to eat only 1.5 piece of fried chicken here since it was such a big portion before, now they also makes smaller portion🤔 (It was very saucy, now they just put some on the fried chicken). We ordered two dishes, yet they forgot one of our dishes, so we waited for extra. Overall, it was good, not the greatest as we had their fried chicken before😌🙏🏻 Good luck! Maybe their new Vietnamese dishes are better than fried chicken now? We may try again…😌🌱

AMAZING bawk bawk---the Spicy Chili (ordered extra hot), which had the perfect amount of sauce, while still crisp & tender, earned an absolute 5*! BUT ... the Crispy Curry stole my pants o.o! No sh_ _ ... as it has the perfect tenderness and powdery coating of that tasty & familiar flavour of east India ... England ?? (yellow curry) and is absolutely Y U M M Y ! ! Also delicious the next day / re-heated.

Yah,I had the avocado, and a few other sides, BUT I wish I had reserved that limited room in my tummy for a 3rd recipe (maybe original). I truly can not wait to return so to try the different version of pok...
