The first time I went.... I waited 25 minutes at the front desk to not be waited on served. . Or said hello to... I decided to give this place a second shot, and was served right away and the service was very friendly. We were served water right away and given time with the menus....ended up getting the number 1 for 2... the egg rolls were delicious. Very hot and fresh. Plum sauce was interesting but good. Not the worse plum sauce I have had but not the best.... next came the tiny dishes of food.. we weren't offered dinner plates..... we got small side plates that were filled with food to eat off of. Most places offer dinner plates .... ,? Anyways now to reviewing the rest of the food. ... my rice tasted undercooked... and was pretty bland... I liked that the red sauce, ( sweet and sour ) came on the side for the chicken balls. The chicken balls were sooo tiny... and more batter then chicken giving it a crunchy flavor.... .. and the chicken chow mein was kind of flavorless.. there was no real wow factor to it.... I have seen soo many good reviews so I'm a tad disappointed. I also found the fortune cookies a tad stale. I was really hoping to give a good review on this place... I'd probably only be back for...
Read moreWe weren't very impressed with our meal at all.. we got over $50 worth of take-out, only for half of our food to be raw... we ordered a combo a, number 3, spicy beef and some wontons. Our egg rolls were completely pink and came out in one large clump when we broke them in half.. half of our chicken balls were cold at the center, they were extremely large so that could be why. But when we called to see about returning our food for a refund, the lady on the phone didn't even offer one at first, she asked if we wanted 50% off our next meal.. she then told us for a full refund we would need to return the food so they could inspect it. We told them we would return the food but want our full refund. I was extremely excited to try this place and ended up so disappointed.
I'm so glad I stopped my 2 year old daughter before she started eating as I do believe not only would she haven gotten sick but we would have too with how raw the meat was in each of the dishes..
I usually only leave reviews after we've eaten somewhere more than once, but I don't believe we will be trying this place again after our experience. Raw meat is NOT something to be...
Read moreBeen meaning to try this place out and so I finally did this evening. The restaurant though big had no seats or tables. It was so sterile, it gave a weird vibe. Guy working there greeted me and just gave me my order and walked away. I didn’t even get a chance to ask for soy sauce cause he left so fast. Though the food was super hot even after 30+ minutes while getting home, the fried rice and spare ribs were so hard and clearly old. The red sauce for the chicken balls had no actual flavour unlike other Chinese restaurants in other provinces. Nor did the beef and broccoli have any flavour or seasoning. Broccoli did seem fresh though. Only redeeming thing about this meal. Even the fortune cookie was stale!! Never going back. At this rate there are 0 Chinese restaurants in the Charlottetown and surrounding area that are worth while. Save your money. This place is unfortunately not...
