Starbucks — Restaurant in Town of Stratford

A lot to note here, apologies for the long review….

My drinks are usually made correct, but everytime I order and pay for extra cold foam on the app, I get my drink with a thin layer of cold foam. They also DO not understand iced vs hot, they double check with me almost every time if it is with ice or hot when I order an iced espresso.

Also I’ve asked before if they’re willing to stir before adding the cold foam because the pumpkin sauce literally sticks to the bottom if you don’t stir, and if you stir after (like I’ve resorted to) you literally stir the cold foam into the drink and ruin it. When asked the girl said this was the “shaken espresso”, which costs an extra dollar something. I’m like you want to change me just to stir (not shake) it before adding the cold foam in? Ridiculous.

Also just the overall attitude of the staff of this location is unlike any other Starbucks I’ve been to. A couple of the girls are okay, but if you question anything about your order, they become totally rude and ignorant. Like one time I noticed they were about to make a hot latte when I ordered an iced latte so I quickly mentioned it…. And with that she rolled her eyes and threw the hot cup over her shoulder into the trash.

A special negative mention to the guy that works here and made my poor boyfriend (who went in to order me my fave drink as a surprise one morning) feel like a total dumb ass for showing him my order from his phone. When my boyfriend screenshotted my Instagram story (telling people to runn to Starbucks for this custom creation), and showed it to the employee… the guy rudely with attitude told him “just tell me the order, it’s easier that way”. My boyfriend is super sweet and friendly and so he was taken aback by this as he’s always showed my order to other locations and been met with great service and smiles.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Starbucks is my favorite, and I spend a lot of money here… sadly this is the closet location to my house as I rarely go uptown...

I visit the Stratford Starbucks nearly every morning, and each visit consistently reaffirms why this location stands out—not just locally, but on a global scale. Having been to Starbucks across Canada and internationally, I can say with confidence that this store is top tier.

What makes it exceptional? The morning staff. They are kind, efficient, and remarkably inclusive.

One of the things I admire most is how the team expresses professionalism through individual style. The staff are polished and professional, without ever looking like they’re wearing a uniform in the traditional, rigid sense. Their approach adds character and energy to the space—it’s part of the reason the environment feels elevated, not generic.

They’ve also shown an attentiveness that goes above and beyond. For example, they noticed that my brachycephalic dogs struggle with the standard shot-size pup cups and now kindly offer a wider bowl option that keeps them safe and happy. It’s thoughtful, it’s small—but it matters.

This team has created something truly special. Their kindness, attention to detail, and individuality are what make this location shine. It’s clear that they care—not just about coffee, but about people. And that makes all...

To Stephan, Chad, Owen, Kai, and the rest of the incredible Starbucks crew, this team is truly something special.

Every single visit, they manage to brighten my day. Whether it’s a friendly smile, a cheerful hello, or the way they already know my order before I even speak, they make me feel welcomed and appreciated every time. Those little moments of connection, like the shared laughs when they guess my order, turn an ordinary coffee run into something I look forward to.

This store doesn’t just run because of great drinks, it thrives because of the people behind the counter. Each barista brings kindness, energy, and a personal touch that makes you feel like more than just another customer. They work hard, they care deeply, and they make every interaction feel genuine.
