The worst customer service I have ever experienced at an Edo! We frequent this franchise quite often and have never been treated as badly as we did in Sylvan this evening. Not only did they let our bento boxes sit for over 15 minutes on the pass through window, they messed up our order and burnt it. The two people working purposely delayed our meal and help others that came in after us so that we would not stay and eat in. When we arrived at 8:25 (closing time is 9pm) the restaurant had been cleaned and ready for closing. The person at the front counter was pleasant to talk to but you could see they were both annoyed that people had come in. About ten minutes into our meals sitting in the window, the cook came to the front to take orders from the other people that had come in. I asked if we could have them to eat while waiting for the other employee to make the bubble tea my sone had ordered. I was then told, we were not welcome to stay as it was now 8:45 and they were closing in fifteen minutes. By the time they had packaged up our food to go, it was 8:55pm and five other people that had ordered after us to go had been served. So now taking our already cold meals and driving the 30 minutes home, only to find out that both of our bento boxes were wrong and mine with cauliflower rice was burnt and incorrect! This is now the second time we have gone to the same location and been asked to take our meal to go as they didn’t want to re-clean a table. Will not be returning for any reason...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! I will not disclose any names for respect of people's privacy, which apparently the owners of this establishment have no respect for, according to another one star review. I have heard from employees (current and former) that this place has very little respect for their staff. Insisting that their workers have "attitude" for simply trying to do their jobs and make the kitchen run smoother, even going so far as to fire staff because of simple questions or comments posed with the intention of improving the quality and efficiency of the restaurant. Considering this place opened recently and hired experienced staff, you would think they'd listen to and work with their employees instead of flippantly dismissing their every suggestion. It is not hard to treat your employees as people, but if you don't know how to do that your business it bound to fail! I've also heard there is an issue with the managers playing favorites with the employees, a hard working employee getting slapped on the wrist for trying to do their job while another who spends all their time texting gets a raise. I repeat, DO NOT EAT HERE! A place like this is not worthy of your business, there are other restaurants in Sylvan with the same kind of food that tastes much...
Read moreI've eaten here many times and found it really tasty in the first few months it was open. Service is always decent and timely.
However I ate at this location today, and found there was an upsetting change in the consistency of the food. Rancid meat in california rolls, barely enough sauce to dip my shrimp. I will add that the service was still friendly and quick as usual, but the food I ate today will have me questioning whether I will return to this location or not. I could not even eat the sushi as all I could taste was strong rancid fake crab.
I'm being generous with three stars, as I feel the staff have done an exceptional job in the past and have always been friendly with me. But today's meal was disappointing.
Update: ate here again this week to check it out after my last visit went.. well.. you can see above. Food was astronomically better this time, staff were great as always and food really tasted like it was made decently with good ingredients. Thanks for dinner edo,...
