TacoTime — Restaurant in Town of Sylvan Lake

Ok, so I'm on day two of what appears to be food poisoning. I would give this two stars but I'd be lying about the initial experience.

The two girls working were super cool. Order was taken, no fuss. Due to it being super slow, my fries were fresh from the fryer.

However, I've never seen such a small beef&cheese burrito before. It looked like it was missing about 1/3 of the regular mass.

MOST concerning though, was the hot sauce. It was either watered down or something had gone wrong with it. I've only seen it this bad at one other location (Whitecourt). I shouldn't be able to pour the remaining sauce from one container into the next container THAT easily. It should be much thicker than that (I've been going to Taco Time locations for 30 years - I'm not speculating). I'm suspecting this sauce is the source of my medically induced downtime yesterday (which cost me money, as I'm self-employed). Fortunately Pepto Bismol fixed -the problem- late yesterday afternoon, because I had work to do. I hope it's not the general food prep, because that would be even more concerning. Went to go through drive through , she said she would be right with me .. I waited about 5-6 min.. nothing Left drive thru to park and go in. 2 people in lobby … 2 .. the girl who helped me was nice ( she also had the drive thru headset on so.. ) Anyway waited for food ( take out ) Got home to eat it .. was so surprised Burrito was barely wrapped , no flavour in the meat , very little toppings. Just did not taste like the typical taco time that I love. I got the mexi fries deluxe … the salsa Fresca is my absolute fav.. not here Did not taste good at all…. Decided to have supper from here and went inside to order as not real sure what they had besides tacos lol . The young man that helped me was real patient and knew the menu well was helpful and seemed to not mind the extra questions. The drive thru was busy at the same time and did not rush me. I sat and waited not long considering the drive thru had orders and mine was bigger. Got it home all was very good and tacos were delicious and a long crunchy meat filled taco and the burrito was so big my husband had a hard time finishing and the little dessert fruit filled items were yummy.
