Subway — Restaurant in Town of Vegreville

We stopped at the Subway in Vegreville for lunch and had such a wonderful experience! The staff overheard that it was my son’s birthday, and Gary, who seemed to be the manager, went out of his way to make it special. He provided exceptional service, and we had such a lovely, friendly conversation with him—he truly made my son feel celebrated.

The food was, as always, fresh and delicious, but what really stood out was the warm and personal service. This kind of experience is rare, and it’s why this Subway will now always be our go-to lunch stop on the way from the city to the cabin.

Food handeling isn’t very good. Example, when l order a vegan sandwich l don’t want you sliding that same knife you just used on a meat and mayo filled sandwich through mine. Or l’ve seen staff “wash” hands under water for 5 seconds and get back to building a sub. Owner is always very friendly and quick! Cleanliness could probably use a bit of attention but overall it’s okay.

I ordered 2 footlong which the deal was buy 1 and the second 50% off. When I went to pay they said it has to be ordered online to get the deal. I said that I would order it online then and was told I would have to wait a long time for it to go in the system. If you are going to offer deals then stipulate it has to be ordered online. As well one bun was correct and the other was white instead of Italian...
