Vito's Steak & Pizza House — Restaurant in Town of Vegreville

Second time dining at this place.

The appetizer "Grande Nachos" are indeed as large as the name suggests - possibly a meal in itself. Nice level of toppings and cheese. Quite tasty.

The [deep fried] pierogie appetizer was tasty as well, but be warned they come out like lava in the center and take a while to cool down.

As for the steak: hands down the best steak I've had in years [including places like The Keg]. Tender and cooked perfectly; juicy in every bite, and within normal steak prices.

My only complained with the steak was that the Steak Neptune's sauce was weird. It had a little bit of seafood in it, but also had pasta(?) I've never had a steak neptune that has had pasta, and that little of seafood on it. Also, the seafood that was mixed in appeared to be imitation crab (going by the look). I'm personally used to shrimp or lobster with it.

Waitress made a mistake on my order. I sent it back. A-hole in the kitchen, a regular told me it's one of the owners, yelled and screamed about it for a few minutes. The waitress was frightened. I decided to pay for everything and leave without eating. But I asked to talk to the owner. He wouldn't come out. The other guy there, apparently another owner, just smirked while his shaken staff looked on. Shame on the those two, treating people like that.

Oh, the pizza is great. Just know that anger is ingredient numero uno. If you get, tip big. Make sure it goes to staff though.

I know that leaving this review could hurt the waitresses through lost business, perhaps one of a-holes takes it out on them. I can't let...

I was very pleasantly surprised to be honest The lunch special was a steak sandwich. I was skeptical because it did not seam to be the kind of place that would have a good steak but I took a chance and ordered it. Oh my gosh The steak was as good as any that I have ever had at the sawmill which is known for their steaks. Actually it was better than most other steak sandwiches that I have had. Often times there is some fat or grizzle that I cut out and leave. There was absolutely no fat or grizzle what's so ever. What an enjoyable lunch I would definately go back and I look forward to going back soon The waitress was very pleasant and attentive as well Thank you Vito's for the most enjoyable...
