I frequent the Latimer Village location and love it. This was my first time at this location and they held true to their name. The food menu is limited (in comparison to Latimer) but there are still a number of really good options. We had the vegan miso tofu bowl and the egg salad croissant. The egg salad croissant was delicious! Probably one of the best I've had. The tofu bowl was good overall but there are some things that I'd change, if I had the option. Because it's a cold bowl, I don't think the noodles that they used were the best option. Vermicelli served cold tends to be too firm, so it feels like it's not cooked or under cooked. The location is great. You can have your coffee and watch the planes take off. They have a few small tables in the Cafe, but there plenty of space in the airport to enjoy your meal. There's a patio space outside as well, weather permitting. They have highchairs and entertainment for the littles (crayons, books, and a few little toys). The staff were friendly and very efficient. It was quite busy but everything seemed to run so smoothly.

I love Blacksmith. I love their drinks, pastries and food selection honestly. I noticed some cute totes and other mech that I’m thinking of gifting for friends. Unfortunately, it’s always the same subpar experience in this location so I never expect much. I ordered a shrimp salad sandwich, a brownie, a matcha latte and 2 ham and cheese croissants (to give with coworkers). A bunch of tables were dirty so I cleaned one off to enjoy my lunch. It was not busy. There was one person who ordered after me in the 20 mins I was there. Everything I got was solid expect the sandwich. I tried eating it because I hate wasting food but all I could taste was the grains of excessive salt. It tasted like I drank from the salt shaker directly. When I asked for a new sandwich, the person working there said “it’s supposed to have seasoning”. After I told her I’ve actually have ordered this sandwich before.. she then agreed to make me a new one. Anyway, I’m grateful she was nice enough to make a new sandwich but I’ll definitely and purposely avoid this location.

The food is amazing!! - both the pastries, other baked goods, and the meal options. Decadent options, and many recipes I’d never dare try from home. Coffee is well prepared. So glad they’ve opened a location in Murrayville! Seating is in the airport common area or on the patio watching the run way. Prices are on the higher side but you are certainly paying for quality.

Just had a really unfortunate experience at this one. I had planned to get an Oat Nog Latte before heading off to work, so I left home early specifically to get one. I ordered my beverage and drove to work and it wasn't until I was at work that I tasted it and it was a tea latte instead. As I had to work, I could not go back until my break. Full disclaimer, I drank about 5oz of the tea. When I went back on break, I was told that the tea had been tampered with and I should have come back right away, so they would not honour the fact that they had made the mistake (instead making it all my fault). They refunded the tea latte, had me pay for another Oat Nog Latte and said that if a mistake is made, I have to come back immediately and not to "tamper" with the beverage at all. I believe that acknowledging a mistake and apologizing goes a long way. Instead I was only met with hostility and annoyance from the staff. I have been a regular customer at this branch for many years as I work nearby and prefer to support local, but I will not be going back again after realizing they really don't care about their customers or providing good customer service. Not something I'm interested...

Visited on 6/19. Extremely rude staff (the tall one with black hair) charged me wrong price on one item and she said SORRY with a contemptuous look. No further action like refund etc. It’s my first visit and will be the last. Bad service attitude! I got overcharged on pastry with no refund and I can't complain? Image you shop at retail, they charge you the regular price instead of the sale price you saw on the tag. All you got was an insincere SORRY, no further explanation. That was exactly what happened on the day I visited your store. There were two girls during that shift; I wanted to specify the staff who took my order was the problem; I have her name on my receipt I chose not to expose it on the Internet due to my minimal respect; the other girl was all good.

You should train your staff better, double check price tags before opening. She did not even realize she placed the wrong price tag until I pointed it out.

Just be aware. This store bashes dissatisfy customers who leave one star reviews. I will stop reading any of your replies. No matter how you describe me, I do not...
