This is a beautiful arboretum with gorgeous landscaping that's nicely laid out to provide a lovely place for walking. There's a great variety of plants and trees, many of which are unique to the area. There are also two very noteworthy memorials to the Canadian Armed Forces and a young oak tree grown from an acorn from Vimy Ridge. One memorial commemorates a battle fought during the Korean War, the other honors the brave men and women who lost their lives in Afghanistan. The Rotary Interpretative Center, an impressive log building, was not yet open to the public when we visited. The park also features extensive demonstration gardens. There are several different ecosystems represented including meadow and wetlands. We saw several people walking dogs on leashes or just out enjoying a stroll. The parking lot is gravel and very large; there's a toilet over near the demonstration gardens. We very much enjoyed our time...

Arboretum part more to the West and North, including path that fully encompasses the entire "park's" space and which can veer to the North to pass the Langley airport to 56th. Large grassy space in the middle of the park.

Read moreTHANKYOU Rotary Club of Langley and TOL!! This is such a great space enjoyed by many. Take a walk along the loop, head towards the airport to watch the planes take off, stroll through the gardens and just admire the beauty of this place. We were here this afternoon and it was not busy a few families here and there. At the airport viewpoint there is a beautiful art installation the Benches of Diversity by Elaine Brewer-White and 400 local students. A gem in the middle of Langley, go check it out!
