This restaurant has new owners as of 1 month ago now.
This was my first time there.
I ordered the Hungry man breakfast, for $11.00, (Pictured in this review), and it was just okay.
I suggested to my server that the pan fries need to be browned instead of burned, and an excellent idea would be is to fry the eggs, and bacon, and sausage, in both bacon fat and pure butter.
She said she will let the owners know about how to spruce up their breakfast menu items, and to introduce in their menu: Eggs Benedict, with homemade hollandaise sauce, by adding lots of bacon fat and natural butter to the hollandaise sauce, because the taste alone is Truly Heavenly.
She also said that she will tell the owners of this added menu feature in their menu.
Hopefully the new owners will do this and to keep the original menu items, and to also open up on Saturdays as well.
By the way their hours of operation are from 7-7:30am until 3pm Monday to Friday.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and kind too.
I will be back again in the near future to see if they kept the original menu items or if they have changed it.
Coffee is $3.00, with free...
Read moreThis place is a really cozy hole in the wall type restaurant as the inside is large and neatly decorated. The staff give some of the absolute best service because they actually care about the customer. As they were making sure to check up on our dining experience, If we were enjoying the food and making sure to ask if we needed anything extra as we dined. On the other hand when it comes to the food itself I personally ended up getting a burger from here. And I have no second thoughts when saying that it was the best Damn burger I ever had in my life. And it was so good I even decided to go for something else completely different right after just to see if other items would be held up to such standard, which guided me to having the wanton soup and like the burger it was one of the best wanton soups I ever had, the broth was rich and flavourful it was even better than the wantons themselves, but that is no insult on the wantons, it was like the soup you crave on a winters night. If I could give 6/5 stars I would because myself and my partner will defiantly be coming back again to try the rest of the...
Read moreGreat lunch and breakfast place. Quick, tasty and reasonably priced. Nice decor, good location. Everything is top notch. Ra and Joseph are fantastic hosts. This is my favourite lunch stop in Port Kells area. I need another star to really rate them. Five is not enough!
Lately I have taken to eating their Reuben sandwich. It is on well toasted rye bread, it has fantastically salty corned beef and just a hint of sauerkraut. The kind of sandwich that dreams are made of! Keep making them just like that !!!!
And the staff here are my favourite restaurant staff in the area. They make the meal better by their presence.
Great sense of humor. The cook, Joseph, is svelte and handsome while the young lady is the life of the room. And Joys smile...
