Ricky's All Day Grill - Walnut Grove — Restaurant in Township of Langley

I occasionally add to my review, and today looks like a great day for it. February 2025.

Breakfast was fine, and as always, Kim was the breakfast hero. How she manages to be bright and chipper while serving a group of thirty in one room while still juggling five or six other tables is amazing. Three thumbs up. Again!!

In case there is any question, the reason I have had over 1,000 meals here over the past 23 years is the help. Today Kim, Chris , and Jen-again are all here showing their strengths. They are the trifecta of breakfast servers, two of them having been here the whole time I've been coming here! This location thrives primarily on their efforts and abilities. Come in and experience their service and the good food.

First quarter of '22 us in the bag. Things are improving, and while we really do miss Jenn again, it's just like pre covid days with Kim back and looking after us.

Welcome to 2022 For the past three months we have been missing Kim, but Hallelujah!! Kim is back !!! Hooray!! Jenagain was a fantastic fill in and of course Chris is often there, but we still missed Kim while she was away. It's great to have such awesome, long-term staff who are SO good !

Months later to June 2021 and we can eat inside again. The staff have been awesome. We love Kim & Chris, they absolutely make the experience. I have been eating here for 22 years and these girls have been there all the way. I am pleased to see the restaurant on the road back to some kind of normalcy after that crazy pandemic and business closures by the government. We did a take out breakfast a few times when we could not eat inside, then we ate on the patio when the restrictions allowed that. Without a doubt, my favourite breakfast of the week is Friday morning at Ricky's Walnut Grove.

And here we are on November 20 and Christmas decorations are up and all the music is Christmas. This is TOO Early for Christmas. Any time after December first is fine. Not in November.

This place is breakfast central. Kim and Chris make it awesome. We really missed them while they were closed to dine in service

As of Mid May 2020, it appears the bacon supply has changed. The bacon for the last month, while crispy and good looking, is of substandard taste. I hope this is just a temporary problem with supply lines due to Covid. The old Maple Bacon was very good. The current bacon is considerably less so. The last time we had good bacon was May 8th. (yes, I keep track of these things)

October 2018 However, they have recently (October 2018) changed their hollandaise sauce for the worse. Before you order anything with hollandaise, ask the waitress for a small taste test first. We drove from Vancouver to go to a nearby farm and ended up here with hungry kids and my parents. We had a large group, and the waiter was kind enough to sit us down even though it was almost closing time on a Sunday night. The kids loved their experience, and the meals were excellent. On the easy home and even to this morning, they been asking to return to Ricky's for the treasure chest and delicious food. My parents also enjoyed the meal, and I would recommend the turkey dinner if you're looking for something different. All in all, the experience was amazing, and I will be returning in the near future for sure. I would have posted pictures, but our food was gone pretty quickly. If you have small children, the attention to detail at this location is unmatched. They brought my 10 months old some mash potatoes first, followed by the kids' meals to make sure they were eating before us, which makes a world of a difference. We are the type of family to stick to the same places, and this one just got added to the list....

We went here for my moms birthday dinner about a week ago and had 12 family members with four little ones and it went very well from start to finish.

First of all we had Jennifer as our server and she was awesome. Super friendly and accommodating to everyone in the group as she went between our group in the banquet room and to the other tables on the other side of the restaurant. Prompt, efficient, and was awesome all around.

Kitchen did a great job doing up all of the orders and the food was superb!!! Some of us had the southern chicken strips, burgers, and fish and chips.

This is not a negative comment for our server or the kitchen, we had a few items that had a few hiccups, one chicken burger didn’t have the right sauce and a clubhouse was missing the tomato. You know what in a large group everything can’t be 100% and in the end we were all really happy with the food and service.
