The iced coffee caramel macchiato at $5 provides a taste reminiscent of popular offerings found at major coffee chains. Priced similarly to comparable options, it delivers a familiar and satisfying experience.

The chocolate chip cupcake, priced at $4, boasts a classic flavor profile typical of its genre, and its substantial density ensures a filling indulgence for patrons.

The cherry pie, priced at $5, presents a visually appealing treat that evokes imagery of quaint Disney-esque bakeries. Despite encountering difficulty with the paper around the crust, the pie's interior remained enjoyable. However, given a pre-existing feeling of fullness upon arrival, the cupcake failed to captivate as hoped.

Aaron, characterized by his charming mustache twirl, exudes a hospitality reminiscent of cinematic depictions. His efficient service contributes to the establishment's welcoming ambiance.

Despite its modest size, the café exudes a charming appeal. However, frequent phone interruptions towards closing hours detract slightly from the overall experience.

For café and bakery ratings, this establishment, rated on a integer scale (with 0 representing Tim Hortons), earns a 2, reflecting its favorable impression.

Although tempted to depart after settling the bill, the enjoyable service compelled a desire to linger and potentially encounter Aaron's hospitality once more.

Aspirations for discovering the quintessential café experience, akin to the enchanting joy found in Disney settings, were almost fulfilled here. However, the quest for the perfect cupcake flavor remains elusive, particularly for someone not inherently drawn to cupcakes.

A recommendation to adopt a retro ringtone reminiscent of the 1950s could enhance the café's ambiance and complement its nostalgic charm.

Notably, the absence of plate clearance by staff was disappointing, as the anticipated Aaron's service added an element of anticipation to the...

Mother’s Day Disappointment I was really looking forward to celebrating Mother’s Day at Tracycakes. I had heard great things and was excited to treat my mom, who’s currently undergoing chemo, to a special outing. Getting her out of the house isn’t easy these days, so this meant a lot to us.

Although we arrived a little late due to parking and helping my mom and nieces inside first, we were initially greeted politely. However, as the visit went on, the atmosphere changed. Toward the end of our reservation, a staff member told us we had 10 minutes left, which we understood. But shortly after, another staff member came by and rather abruptly told us they needed the table. We felt rushed, especially compared to other tables around us who didn’t seem to be getting the same treatment.

Then, a woman came over to my friend and very curtly asked her to take a photo of their team. Her tone was unfriendly, and my friend had to ask several times if she was actually being asked to take the photo. Later, when we were outside taking family photos, the same woman apparently told my friend to move, and again, it didn’t come across as respectful.

What really bothered us was how uncomfortable and unwelcome we all felt. We couldn’t help but wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that we’re people of color. We don’t want to assume, but the way we were treated stood in stark contrast to how others around us were treated — and that left a lasting impression.

Unfortunately, we won’t...

We recently ordered cupcakes for one of our staff appreciation events and our team absolutely LOVED them! The flavours were great, they look beautiful - 10 out of 10. There was a slight issue with my order when I arrived to pick up, but the only reason I mention that is because I feel the team at the store need to recognized for the excellence of their service recovery. They were AMAZING. They really went above and beyond to get me what I needed for my event, even though it was the day before mother's day and they were exceptionally busy. Both the gentleman out front (I believe the manager?) and the staff behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and quickly problem solved to make sure I had everything I needed. They did a wonderful job and deserve to be recognized - I would happily hire any of them to be part of my team. We definitely will be ordering again in the future and I highly recommend them if you need cupcakes...

This location has been around since 2008, in a very lovely rustic looking house. It has wheelchair accessible which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy. I won't lie the menu is not huge, but that didn't make it any easier to pick what I wanted as it all sounds heavenly. In the end I picked the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with butternut squash soup and a marble mocha. I was not at all disappointed. I was so excited to try the food that I didn't think to take a picture until I was halfway done! The soup is fresh and lovingly hand made, and I will never be able to have a "regular" grilled cheese sandwich again. This sandwich has tomato, cheddar, mozzarella, feta and basil pesto. It was very yummy and filling. I'm very interested in coming back and trying their signature high tea. It truly feels like you are having a meal at a best friend's house, very welcoming.

Free street parking. Cc accepted. Reservation accepted. Cute vintage decor. Well-maintained heritage house. Well-known for their high tea sets. Friendly staff. BUT the food I ordered was a great disappointment. Not sure the official definition of a "panini" but the one that I ordered was far from my expectation and experience. The Chicken Apple + Brie was served in a "taco-like" wrap with non-existent brie, deli chicken and sliced apples (had to give them credits for stuffing the "panini" with lots of sliced apples). The whole thing was cold. None of the ingredients seem to complement each other. Tomato soup was served hot but quite sour to my taste. The efforts that go to the decoration and customer service at this place are evident, but the most important element of a cafe, food, was not up to par.
