First off the service is excellent. I'm a little picky on my Caesar (I know how I like them) our waitress Aliza listened to me as I asked for it to be made that way, she forwarded the information to bartender Mike who made it just the way I like it!! Yay, no offense but some just don't listen!! Aliza was attentive and friendly even though the place was busy. Orderd their Prawn Rolls with ponzu and a Chipotle dip...they were excellent crispy on the outside and very flavourful on the inside!! Yum!! Was waiting for another person and Aliza was going off shift she left us in the the very capable hands of Erin who was also super friendly and was by the table to check if drinks were needed or she could get us anything else!! Great service and so awesome to see when it seems like no one wants to work and most service staff are run off their feet!! The evening progressed and our guest arrived. Time for dinner!! The pub had Prime Rib dinner on special...almost missed out waiting for friends to show up...my friend and I got the last 2 orders and I wasn't disappointed...it was cooked perfectly (medium rare) served with whipped potatoes, veg, yorkshire pudding with a flavourful au jus/demi glace. The food was very well prepared, plated and served!! Not a complaint made me want to go back!!
And did go back!! Didn't eat ths time (had dinner with friends/family) but stopped in for a couple drinks. Kristina who was there the night before and she remembered what I was drinking after dinner which was awesome it wa also nice to see her friendly face (I'm from outta town). A little disappointed didn't get to see Brenda again but met another awesome bartender named Ashely who was super attentive and friendly....had a chance to meet some of the kitchen staff whom I complimented (sorry guys can't remember your names) as well
I definitely give these guys/gals 10 gold stars...it's the kind of service you don't always see these days!! I sure hope their boss knows and appreciates them all for their hard work at making your business a place people...
Read moreHearing about this experience at The Murrayville Pub made me absolutely disgusted. My parents went here for dinner last night and my mom ordered fish and chips. The batter was incredibly thick and burnt with the fish still raw in the middle. My mom kindly told the waitress that it wasn't edible. So the waitress asks "would you like a remake or something else on the menu". She asks for the remake hoping they get it right the second time. Minutes later here comes the exact same non edible fish but with some of the batter scrapped off.. Not sure how the waitress could look at the same meal under the heat lamp and bring it right back out. So once again my mom has to say this is the same dish you served me before and the waitress replies "I OFFERED YOU SOMETHING ELSE ON THE MENU". The waitress being super rude, defensive and hostile my parents settle up as quick as possible to leave. They see a manager on the way out and mention the waitresses actions and he couldn't care one bit. My parents proceed to the parking lot and are getting in their car when the MANAGER COMES STORMING TOWARDS THEM. "DID YOU TELL MY WAITRESS TO GO F*#K HERSELF?" Mom replies "No, that's insane. The manager replies "I'll believe someone sober over someone drinking any day" Incredible how unprofessional the whole staff team is there. My parents are 61 and 59 and have to deal with an angry manager following them to their car to scare them? They used to go there 1-2 times every couple weeks. The Murrayville Pub has lost a couple regulars and I hope this spreads for less future disappointments for good people looking for a good pub experience because this is...
Read moreThere's a certain breed of pub that thrives on the fringes of town. No frills, just consistently decent food, a cold beer, and maybe a quirky named specialty on the menu. We met a friend for lunch on a random Thursday, the kind of day where you just need a break from the usual. The pub wasn't busy, but there was a steady stream of regulars drifting in for a midday pint. I opted for the prawn rolls, a surprisingly well-executed dish for a pub. The prawns were plump and fresh, not overcooked or drowning in mayo served with chipotle, and soy sauces to add the perfect amount of salt to each bite. My wife, ever the traditionalist, went for the wings, which were perfectly crispy and with the right amount of heat. The service here is prompt and friendly, the kind you expect from a good neighborhood pub. But if you're hungry I’d recommend the stuffed yorkies. Large yorkshire pudding, a savory pastry shell, stuffed with tender roast beef and slathered in rich beef gravy, this is my usual dinner here. Overall, the Murrayville Town Pub is a reliable spot for a casual lunch, dinner, or a beer with friends. It won't win any awards for culinary innovation, but it delivers on its promise of good pub fare in a relaxed atmosphere. And hey, if you're feeling hungry try the...
