To whom it may concern: I would like to say thank you for taking the time to send out a $20 coupon to me for White Spot, however without sounding ungrateful I will update you on the series of events that happened to warrant this $20 coupon. On December 11th my partner and I decided to celebrate an exciting event and chose White Spot for we both enjoy the Menu at your establishment. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. We were greeted with a smile of exhaustion and given menus. Someone else took our drink order, we waited and waited and finally someone took our order. We had ordered an appetizer that required cutlery and napkins when the appy arrived we were unable to eat if for we had no cutlery and no napkins. Our appetizer got cold before they brought us cutlery, before we were able to finish the Appetizer my partners order came and I was told We are out of fish today for I had ordered the fish and chips because before that was told we have no Onion rings and have not had them since June. They then brought me a menu so I could re Order by this time my partner was almost finished her meal and proceeded to wait for me to finish, we wanted desert but felt it was just time to go for the waitresses seemed over worked and totally short staffed we could hear the table next to us having similar issues. We did tip the waitress $10 for our $60 bill for we felt sorry that management had put these poor waitresses in a situation to fail and not get well deserved tips as a result of poor management. The moral of this story is to compensate us $20 to come to your establishment again is really showing that perhaps you need the $20 more than we do and you certainly do not value our business nor our constructive criticism. One would think as valued customer at least a dinner for two would be acceptable to show our loyalty and giving you the opportunity to redeem yourselves. We will be sharing our experience with our friends, family and co-workers as a result of your short fall. I’ll be returning to you your $20 gift certificate for we will have no use for it nor will we put our friends and family through this dining experience. After talking to the manager/owner…….
I’ll never go to this White Spot...
Read moreMy husband and I always go to this White Spot here in Aldergrove because usually the food/ service is good and friendly atomosphere. And we had a really good waitress who understood gtuten free* sensitivity.
It was a relief to us to know that some restaurants care about people who are gluten sensitive.....
Unfortunately, we had gone for dinner this evening and we're very disappointed. The waitress we had acknowledged that I was gluten sensitive and looked to me like she wrote it down on her note pad. Then my husband ordered his meal. And she brought us our drinks. Then shortly after a while, another waitress came and served us what we ordered only to find out that I DID NOT get what I asked for.
I said "this is not what I ordered"...I asked for BC Chicken Burger, Gluten free Bun w/Spinach, Red Onions, Mushrooms....easy not too difficult. The waitress that served us our meals apologized and said "We can make you another one?" And she brought me the right burger I had ordered. My question to that waitress the first one: What if something happened?? Some people can't have certain food items. Like what if I didn't see all the toppings on the burger and I had a reaction??? Hmmmm? Where is your heart and mind in this?? Careless nature..
Then a little while later, the first waitress that we had came over and apologized for the burger mix up. But honestly, you can tell she didn't mean it because it don't sound sincere. Mix ups like that can happen but she heard everything I said clearly. It wouldn't of happened in the first place if she really cared about someone else's food choice. You might not like that fact that some people have food allergies, but you do not know or understand what it's like to have a terrible reaction especially to food you really enjoy.. until you go through it yourself. Think about it.
If I was in the restaurant industry I would want my waiter/waitresses to know that people have food sensitivities and we need to be mindful of these people and not to criticize them for it. And if there was issues with customers regarding this situation, I would fire that waitress/waiter and say maybe real customer service isn't the right...
Read moreAbsolute disgrace to the chain, we stayed at the adjacent Best Western Motel and decided to eat at White Spot as the restaurant in Burnaby (Vancouver) was excellent. This outlets food was rubbish, there was no care taken and they basically turn good basics into slop. I had the ribs that had a smear of sauce, no taste and you could tell the ribs had been recooked several times. The drinks were lukewarm, never good to get vodka at room temperature. There was a person who I presume was the manager arranging tables outside while dressed in really grotty shorts and a tee shirt??? Waited to be seated as three waitresses walked past and ignored us. The waitress we got was a lovely girl who was the only reason we did not walk out. You cannot allow this outlet to drag your reputation down, as we looked for your restaurants for some good basic food while travelling for 6 weeks in Canada.
