My husband and I travelled for a month in NFLD about 3 years ago. We stopped in Twillingate and saw a sign outside the Cozy Tea Room & Bakery, advertising the Jiggs dinner which we hadn’t tried yet. Unfortunately they didn’t have any more left as it was late.They assured us they’d have some the next day but we told them we weren’t sure if we were staying or travelling on. Read moreWe happened to walk into the Cozy Tea Room & Bakery after seeing their sign on the main road advertising “Home Cooked Meals”. Lots of people advertise this so I had to check it out. Wow! They actually cooked everything themselves! Joyce and Jo explained that they make everything from scratch. They even made the jam and baked beans I had with my home made tautons! Talking to Joyce and Jo about their 22 years in business was an absolute joy. I wished we found them earlier in our visit to Twillingate! Read moreThe best food is here. I went here for breakfast twice and had their toutons and tea, they were the best toutons I’ve ever had. I pre-ordered their Jiggs dinner and took it back to the cottage where I was staying and it was just as good as my nanny’s jiggs dinner! I also bought date squares and ate the entire batch in 2 days they were that good! Such a cute place and very inexpensive but cash only.
