B & L Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Uxbridge

Service was impersonal and scarce. My group was 7 ppl, We had no feeling of being welcome, food was prepped poorly and portions were small. Our coffees, waters and teas were not replenished once. Food was dropped off with no idea of who ordered what. iPad for meal which was a significant price and I left zero tip as service was well not good at all. Upon leaving the restaurant I Was harassed by who I assume is the owner for a tip. I was told I’m mean for not tipping and rude. I informed them minimum wage was increased and tips are based on service. She verbally accused me of other things in front of my family and other patrons.

I do not recommend this establishment.

On way home from an appointment in Toronto and needed to stop for a bite. Looked like a quaint little place, so in we went. We were the only ones in there. Hubby ordered fish & chips, I ordered teriyaki chicken. The fish looked like it was dumped from a box from the freezer but my husband enjoyed the fries. His meal was more than price listed on the menu. My food looked very appealing but didn't have much flavour. For the prices charged, coffee should have been included and/or bottomless. Been going to the B&L since the original owners. Breakfast and Lunch are equally delicious. I'm a die hard fries and gravy fan and they do theirs right. French toast and a regular breakfast was a staple hangover food during high school and University.

Edit - I'm sure it was a business decision, and you can't really argue with that, but I was a little disappointed in my most recent visit that pancakes were off the menu. Just bad timing, that's all I wanted that day. My pemeal sandwich was still next level good....
