Chef Wobot 尚菜 — Restaurant in Vancouver

Paid $12.95 (pre tax) for the Kung Pao Chicken “rice bowl” which says it comes with chicken and rice. When I brought the receipt to the cashier, I was told it didn’t come with rice and had to pay an additional $2.63 (post tax) for rice as the younger girl working the cash register said the chicken didn’t come with rice even though it’s literally called a RICE BOWL. She refused to acknowledge the discrepancy and basically told me better luck next time ordering and walked away. I asked another older lady working there about the discrepancy and while she didn’t say much, she had the girl refund me the rice in cash, although neither apologized. It wasn’t about the money but the principle for not understanding their own menu or how to communicate with a customer. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back again for this poor service. Joke is on me for stupidly tipping...

This place is great! Service is so kind and the food is good and good value! Plus if you dine-in you can watch the robot drum make your food 😂.

We have had the: pork belly and peppers (bomb) 10/10 egg fried rice (good) 7/10 crown daisy (good! So much of it too!) 10/10 Kung Pao chicken (a little unconventional 😅 had carrots, zucchini) 6/10 fried veggies: potato, green pepper and eggplant (the flavor is there but the cook on the veg is very hit or miss! They had to remake it for us because the potatoes weren't cooked...and then the eggplant was cooked to heck 😅😅 but flavor was...

Food was great. This place has those woks that are in the form of rotating drums. We had the braised beef, stir fried pork and seasonal veggies. All very tasty and portions were large. Fresh and has a home cooked touch. We ate in but there are only 4 tables and it isn’t particularly nice inside. But I prefer food fresh than ending up with lots of containers. A good neighbourhood spot!

One last thing - English is not so good here, so I would double check your order. I had to correct the order a couple of times. The lady was nice so it wasn’t a problem, just good to...
