I'm so disappointed. I expected much more. The first impression was not good. I walked in with two other people and one person asked to use the washroom before we ordered and we were told that there was no washroom for customers. We left and went somewhere else to eat and use the washroom but after finding one, we decided to go back. The food took a long time and didn't come all together. We also weren't told the name of the food that was being placed in front of us. I feel bad for the server she was quite nice. The pad thai tasted like spaghetti with ketchup. I was so disappointed. And the shrimp in the pad thai were mushy. I didn't want to complain while with my two co-workers so I let it slide. The pad thai is awful. Do not order it. The kicker, maybe the worst part of the visit was when a guest in the restaurant asked for a washroom and she was led into the back to use the toilet. That absolutely disgusted me and has cost this location of Thai Away Home at least one star if not one and a half Stars, and of course the horrible Pad Thai costs them another. Due to the insult and my speculation as to the reason why my friend was denied use of the washroom, I will not return to this location and I do not recommend it. Shame on them for discriminating...

Mannn. I get a lot of Thai take out, and Vancouver restaurants are really upping their standards, but wowee I have to say this was the worst Thai food I have had in a very long time. The pad Thai has a very strong ketchup flavour and it’s soaked in sauce. Noodles were slightly overcooked which didn’t help. Hoping that the red curry would make up for it… but even though we got “regular” spice, it just tastes like coconut milk with a slight hint of curry. I hate to give any local restaurant a poor review but I can’t sugar coat how brutal the quality was. I called the restaurant since we ordered on Uber eats and the woman who answered was very polite and did offer 15% off for next time, but I had to tell her we won’t be coming back because both dishes were a huge disappointment. I was told this is the Thai Away Home pad Thai recipe so maybe it’s like this everywhere, but the tamarind flavour is sorely lacking and the red tomato paste really ruined it for us. It’s a shame. I really wish we would’ve ordered from...

I've wanted to try this place for years as I've always read glorious reviews and finally had the opportunity to go yesterday, as I was starving and passed by. What a disappointment! The food is bland and clearly lacks taste. The fried chicken didn't taste fresh and had 0 seasoning, just salt. The only thing I could taste was the dipping sauce. The positive point is that it wasn't greasy. The pad Thai just had the sweet taste of the sauce but I couldn't taste the wok hey. Too bad as it is the main reason why I order pad thai... Cost me $40 for what you see in the picture, which is way overpriced for the quality. Also a note that you have to pay before eating, which makes it weird for the tipping as I usually tip depending on the service I received but in that case you have to get up, order, may and then return to your seat... Also I asked ice-cold water and was given ambient temperature water. However next table ordered a pop and they had the right to have...

Confused about this place because I ordered from "fried chicken and appetizer world" on ubereats and the address is here. They do have a facebook page though. I ordered a pad thai, which is $12.59, but when I came to the restaurant, the menu is $15 for a pad thai. It seems like they are running a business within a business? The pad thai is in a container that has two compartments so the portion is smaller compared to the pad thai from the actual restaurant. The other compartment was one spring roll. The taste was good and there is no extra charge for prawn which is awesome. However, I'm not sure if $12.59 is justifiable for a portion that is a little more than half of what the restaurant itself offers at $15. It was a good deal on ubereats BOGO.

Khob khun ka ขอบคุณค่ะ !! No-fuss, happy go lucky value for money Thai street eats at low fare dinner grub haul with plenty of vegetarian Tofu options and a cozy and clean vibes eatery. At the price, this was a plentiful portion with an awesome experience. I got one of my standard go-to Tofu Veggie Stir Fry with Thai Sweet Basil which had a sweet variety of veggies and tofu with a good flavor of spicy sauce, not as spicy as I'd like but great flavor throughout. Paired with a super yummy side of Crispy Tofu (a hella portion too) and knockout Thai sweet chilli peanut sauce! I was stoked when I saw this local business has branched out a few more franchises around the city and also offer a phenomenal Uber eats deliver offer! Support local business!
