Ordered some pizzas to go using the online tool. They were ready and fresh when I showed up at the promised time and the person working the register was nice. I had slices of the Wild Forage and Fresh Ricotta pizzas. Both pizzas were excellent - the crust was just perfect, with a little bit of char but a very soft inside - and I really liked the composition of both. On the Wild Forage, the vegan mozzarella was very mozzarella-like - I almost definitely wouldn't have noticed it was vegan. I found that the vegan ricotta (which we added to this pizza; it doesn't come with by default) wasn't actually very ricotta-like as it was totally missing the texture, it really just tasted like dollops of thick herby cream, but I really enjoyed it for what it was and it definitely added some unique character. On the Ricotta pizza, the kalamata olives really stood out to me as being high quality and I liked the briny flavour they brought. I'll also note that both pizzas but especially the vegan one were decidedly un-greasy which I very much appreciated. There are plenty of delicious vegan pizzas around, but if you want "realistic", this might be my #1 choice. The medium pizzas were $21-22 each (including the extra charge for adding ricotta to the Wild Forage). There were 4 of us, we ordered 3 medium pizzas, and had a few slices left over at the end, so I'd say the value is...
Read moreI mean pizza is not bad but omg the girl working here doesnât have common sense lol. She was nice but really didnât even know how to warm up pizza. I ordered 4 vegetarian and 4 regular and she mixed them up (literally meat touching vegetarian) to warm up. I asked her to please separate them and she didnât know how. Someone else had to told her to use a different tray. Then she âwarmed them upâ for literally two minutes (not enough) and overlapped the slices in a box that was clearly too small. My partner didnât want to complain about the cold pizza but I did because omg it was not warm at all. So one of us had cold pizza đ€·đ»ââïž. Anyway, bad experience tonight. Soft skills were good but hard skills not there for this girl. Also, not to complain too much but the slices were extremely uneven lol. One of my partnerâs slices was like kids size đ and some of them felt like they had been sitting there for too long. He had to drench his pizza in hot sauce to swallow the dry cold pizza. Iâm complaining here cause I know my partner wonât and lot of people donât, but we all deserve good pizza. đ«°đŒ
Ignite used to ignite a light in us but unfortunately tonight there...
Read moreAs someone whoâs been to Italy at least a dozen times, I have to say that Igniteâs pizzas remind me very much of proper Italian pizzas.
Their âThe Picanteâ pizza is super similar to one I had in Positano. To the Ignite version, I added tiny bits of pepperoni primo and I highly recommend that you do too. The combo is just fantastic. Parma Prosciutto is of course an old classic but theyâve perfected it.
And if youâre a fan of truffles like I am, I recommend their truffles aioli as well.
I do have to agree with another reviewer that said that their European wine selection needs some work. Iâm keeping it at 5 stars though because the service and food are so great and thereâs plenty of other wine options to choose from that are decent. But it would be perfect if they had a few better Italian and French wines to offer. I find that theyâre lacking a bit in the full bodied wine department. I donât mind a nice Chianti or Montepulciano on occasion but sometimes a meal calls for something a bit heavier than that.
In other words: more Brunello di Montalcino, heavy Bordeauxâs and even some nice full bodied Shiraz â definitely LESS light...
