Ordered some pizzas to go using the online tool. They were ready and fresh when I showed up at the promised time and the person working the register was nice. I had slices of the Wild Forage and Fresh Ricotta pizzas. Both pizzas were excellent - the crust was just perfect, with a little bit of char but a very soft inside - and I really liked the composition of both. On the Wild Forage, the vegan mozzarella was very mozzarella-like - I almost definitely wouldn't have noticed it was vegan. I found that the vegan ricotta (which we added to this pizza; it doesn't come with by default) wasn't actually very ricotta-like as it was totally missing the texture, it really just tasted like dollops of thick herby cream, but I really enjoyed it for what it was and it definitely added some unique character. On the Ricotta pizza, the kalamata olives really stood out to me as being high quality and I liked the briny flavour they brought. I'll also note that both pizzas but especially the vegan one were decidedly un-greasy which I very much appreciated. There are plenty of delicious vegan pizzas around, but if you want "realistic", this might be my #1 choice. The medium pizzas were $21-22 each (including the extra charge for adding ricotta to the Wild Forage). There were 4 of us, we ordered 3 medium pizzas, and had a few slices left over at the end, so I'd say the value is...

I mean pizza is not bad but omg the girl working here doesn’t have common sense lol. She was nice but really didn’t even know how to warm up pizza. I ordered 4 vegetarian and 4 regular and she mixed them up (literally meat touching vegetarian) to warm up. I asked her to please separate them and she didn’t know how. Someone else had to told her to use a different tray. Then she “warmed them up” for literally two minutes (not enough) and overlapped the slices in a box that was clearly too small. My partner didn’t want to complain about the cold pizza but I did because omg it was not warm at all. So one of us had cold pizza 🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyway, bad experience tonight. Soft skills were good but hard skills not there for this girl. Also, not to complain too much but the slices were extremely uneven lol. One of my partner’s slices was like kids size 😂 and some of them felt like they had been sitting there for too long. He had to drench his pizza in hot sauce to swallow the dry cold pizza. I’m complaining here cause I know my partner won’t and lot of people don’t, but we all deserve good pizza. 🫰🏼

Ignite used to ignite a light in us but unfortunately tonight there...

As someone who’s been to Italy at least a dozen times, I have to say that Ignite’s pizzas remind me very much of proper Italian pizzas.

Their “The Picante” pizza is super similar to one I had in Positano. To the Ignite version, I added tiny bits of pepperoni primo and I highly recommend that you do too. The combo is just fantastic. Parma Prosciutto is of course an old classic but they’ve perfected it.

And if you’re a fan of truffles like I am, I recommend their truffles aioli as well.

I do have to agree with another reviewer that said that their European wine selection needs some work. I’m keeping it at 5 stars though because the service and food are so great and there’s plenty of other wine options to choose from that are decent. But it would be perfect if they had a few better Italian and French wines to offer. I find that they’re lacking a bit in the full bodied wine department. I don’t mind a nice Chianti or Montepulciano on occasion but sometimes a meal calls for something a bit heavier than that.

In other words: more Brunello di Montalcino, heavy Bordeaux’s and even some nice full bodied Shiraz — definitely LESS light...

At Ignite Pizza on Main Street in Vancouver, they've mastered the art of the 'Goldilocks' crust – not too crunchy, not too doughy, but just right. Picture a pizza crust that's like a gentle breeze – light, airy, and yet substantial enough to hold the treasure trove of flavors they offer. Their hot sauce? It's the spicy sorcerer's touch that elevates each bite without overpowering the delicate balance of the toppings. And that happy hour wine? Served in modest portions but overflowing with cheer, making it a delightful companion to their enchanting pizzas. The experience at Ignite Pizza is akin to discovering a whimsical pizza wonderland. The ambiance wraps you in a cozy embrace, while the pizzas, with their thin yet substantial crust, deliver a taste that's a delightful dance on your palate. It's a place where pizza dreams come true, and I'd happily recommend it for a lighthearted, flavorful escapade!

I've been enjoying their pizza ever since they freshly opened the business. I always have great customer service and warm greet. Ever since new lady in brown glasses got here, I unfortunately do not feel welcomed anymore. You could really see how she thinks lowly of the customers. I don't ask much from any restaurant and always leave appropriate amount of gratitute as well. I stopped that don't honestly feel like acting well-mannered as well. I am commenting on it after having served 3times from her. I am not so sure if I will be coming back. But again, i had such problem before. I mean, come on. Management needs to step up. One of them was present while this was happening. Good food and decent price though.
