Poke bowls - I just love them I was starving and what is there better than a good bowl - quick & delicious! You simply choose your favorite ingredients and voilà your food is ready! At Pokerrito they serve delicious bowls and you can choose between a regular or large one. I had regular which comes with 2 protein portions so I just had two times Tofu! As mix ins I had Cucumber, sweet onion, Green Onions and Kale. The base was a mix of brown rice and lettuce mix! And the toppings that are included are 5! Such a great value wow - and thanks for the staff - super friendly and kind! I can highly recommend the mixed nuts (they thankfully added a lot - I just love nuts) Avocado is extra (2.5$ - but it was half an avocado so it’s worth the extra pay) Highly recommend: Edamame (not like other places where you get like 3 pieces they measure it exactly) Mango (but double check there might have been some cilantro in it :() Mixed nuts Furikake Ginger Sprout With 3 vegan sauce options it is quite a choice! Sometimes you barely have one 🥹 I will definitely come back! The ponzu and sweet chili were nice (be advices it’s spicy 🌶) Yum - this was perfectly satisfying 🤩 after this day 😀😘 Tip: do something good for yourself and for the environment & bring your own box & safe 10%!

I like the poke from the Pokerrito downtown on Hornby. This was my first time at this location on W 8th. It's kind of hidden because it's a few streets down from the major Olympic Village shopping area and the building itself is kind of tucked back from the street, but the seclusion lends itself to a very relaxed atmosphere. The shop is spacious inside and very clean, and there's also a nice patio area. I would probably choose to come back to this location rather than the downtown location in the future because I just like the feel of the place. I came near closing and the shop was empty except for a few people that came in for takeout, but the staff was friendly and patient while I decided what to order. A little detail about the menu that I appreciated is that the screen for the build your own poke displays all the available toppings so that you don’t have to go up the counter to see what’s available. I got the torched miso glazed salmon warm bowl. It came with a sizeable cut of salmon. Everything seemed fresh and the miso sauce was just delicious. It was just under $20 which is kind of on the upper end of poke prices, but I do feel that you get good quality for your money here, and I found the bowl to be pretty satiating.

Although close to two main roads, Cambie and Broadway, the Pokerrito on 8th is easily unnoticed. This is a shame because it is such a nice spot for really delicious, freshly made Asian Fusion food. As well as the set options, the menu also includes build your own choices. We took advantage of both, having the Toasted Roasted Chicken Bowl, the Spicy Pork Bul-Dog and a Build Your Own Bowl. Each was tasty and we’d definitely repeat these orders. My Torched Bowl was particularly scrumptious and while I’d love to try another item from the menu the next time we visit, I’ll be hard pressed not to simply repeat my order! The place is spacious and bright and the service very friendly. We think it’s worth the effort to walk a block off Cambie to treat yourself to a great meal!

There's no secret that Im a poke fan. However, this place have disappointed me for the inconsistent portioning given the expensive price, slow service, and unwelcoming atmosphere.

I got a large bowl but got a very few serving for what I've paid. I frequent myself to other poke places like Hoke Poke, Pacific Poke, Steves Poke, or even the Pokeritto in Dubsmuir and the value is better if not, so good- consistently large portions. This only gave me 2/3 or less of what others would do for the price. The food assortment was nice and fresh. I had the large build your bowl, and could tell that the ahi tuna and the vegetable was fresh. But again, the large is as if I ordered a small one. Tuna was nit scooped in fully but I hate to complaining in front of the people next to me as there were quite a few already on the line and I dont want them to wait for another 10 minutes of arguing just like with the person ahead of me.

Service was sad. There was only one customer ahead of me and the lady had a chit chat, slow and unsure what she was doing when that customer requested that it took them 10 or so minutes to finish one customer checkout. The food was in fact ready when I arrived. Time is gold guys, our lunch break is only 30 minutes so chop chop.

Overall, I told the lady what she can do if a negative experience like this happens, and she said nothing. So thats it, Im done with this location.

Ps I was too hungry so I ate my food and wasnt able to take a photo. But it was not up to the brim, just half of the bowl was filled. Spent about $25 as I had to add $1 for the ahi per scoop x 3, plus 15% tip. Came here a month ago...

I have been getting pinged repetitively to leave a review which is quite annoying. I have been to other pokerrito sites and haven't had an issue like this or any issue with the food. The time I went I wasn't happy with service or the food. Service: The worker was distracted with 2 other customers, she was talking to them in Korean. I suspect they were delivery guys? She did stop looking at them and made my food.

Food: I ordered the Hawaiian classic. I have had it many times downtown where I usually go. It was a standard order with no modifications. She continued to talk through me to other customers sitting across the room. After I paid I opened and smelled the fish. It was very fishy. I asked her if it was safe to eat tomorrow. She looked and said it was. I was very skeptical. I think your employees should check their product more regularly. I didn't feel that it was food safe. It was heavily covered in sauce and the rice was soaked with the soy mixture. I ate some but not all and threw the remainder away the next day (it was a large and I already paid).

I was going to try again at your site, but after the prompts for reviews and the bad experience I will not come back to this site. I may go back to the downtown one with more volume. I'm still irked that you kept prompting for review. Even if it is automated. When does the harassment stop? After...
