I recently lost my wallet (and honestly, this seems to happen every couple of years now šŸ˜…) and was fortunate enough to be assisted by Kristi. Unlike many customer service experiences, Kristi was not just professional but genuinely empathetic and kind. She handled the situation with incredible warmth, even suggesting I check my car and other places—a thoughtful gesture she didn’t have to make and many other stores I called - simply replied to my question. In a world where values of kindness and empathy seem to be becoming rarer, Kristi’s approach truly stood out to me. She made me so happy that I wanted to call her back just to share my joy when I found my wallet! (After all, she’s a stranger to me. She looked and said it wasn’t there in a normal professional way , she didn't find my wallet I found my in my car and could quickly get back to my normal life as usual) But her way of helping made me feel warmth and I want to celebrate her kindness and show my appreciation. It also struck me while navigating the phone system and clicking 1, 2 ,0 while listning to the usual companies recorded slogan and waiting music before getting to customer service, that Save On Food may not just be about a catchy one's like going the extra mile They seem to live it—or at least hire amazing people who embody those values. (Just my personal observation, and I think it’s right , as far as I remember, even their cashiers, have always been nice people—never been rude. Trust me, I can detect attitudes, used to observe it elsewhere, and even experience it sometimes without shying away to give it back, which I dont like even more). Long story short: even if their prices are a bit higher to me, I’ll happily shop there when I have some extra money ,or feel i need to go to a place it will feel warm to be knowing that customer care like this is priceless these days. Thank you, Kristi, for making a difference! Thank you to all Save On Food employees, im assuming hopefully all managers too or simply the owner's values or decision on making this customer care their company's code of ethic. I also would like to celebrate people like you who remind us of the human values we all need. those Canadian values we are losing because we are forgetting we all came here to find and celebrate. It's a long message, I know , but I truly appreciate this opportunity that you and Save on food gave me as I personally see / believe thru this, God ( with His name Allah for me ) showing and teaching me that everyone has the capacity like Kristi to spend more of his time and energy on a phone call or giving advice between the store shelves, at the cashier or front desk , cleaning behind where nobody can see better , or spending more time writing a better review. Everyone can go the extra mile for someone else after all. Rarely, sometimes, and hopefully more often.

I never post anything because im lazy.. but the staff was just so rude. we told that the price we saw on sale was 5.99 and at first she went to check and she came back with the tag and okay ill honour it. and then she kept trying to adjust the price and couldnt so then she turns back to me and say oh its because its not the flavour thats on sale.. and then we told the lady no it does say its on sale and she was like nope. and so i had to run and get the tag that had the correct pricing with correct flavour. and she kept saying because of you guys i should be already home.she had to just keep arguing at us... 🤯and then there is overpriced parking ticket that i couldnt even.. because it was literally 1min after 1200 i wasnt able to speak to parking agent so in order for us to come out of the stupid parking lot we had to pay 6 dollars when it said first hour parking 3$🤬. we were stopping here to shop before we go home after our very nice day and they just completely ruined our day at the end. I bought English peas (BC) from here today. Took them home, ate a bunch, noticed afterwards that about 15-20% of the ones I had eaten had white mold on the inside of their pods. Couldn't really tell from the outside. I took them back and got refunded, no problem. The shift manager says they'll look into it. I start doing some additional shopping, but then see that the shift manager has brought my bag peas back to the produce section and given them to the produce clerk. The clerk inspects them one by one, and puts some to one side and some to another side (presumably "good" ones and "bad" ones). The clerk then puts presumably the "good" ones back into the big barrel of peas, ready to be sold again.. That bag of peas that I brought back should NOT have been put back for sale like that, not just because they were potentially moldy, but because they had left the premises! I had taken them home!

Very bad customer service in this Save on Foods. I had bought some nugget potatoes that when I opened the package 2 days later turned out to be rotten. I wanted to return them for a refund and was met with something that I would describe as hostility. There was no one in customer service so I asked in the lottery shop that is charing the space with customer service. The women there, that had nothing to do at the moment, told me to go to the cashier. I did so and the women there called someone that came up to me asking ā€œwhat do you want?ā€. I explained what I wanted and she told me to come with her, which I did. On the way some other employee stopped her and she started to attend to that problem while I was standing there waiting. When she finished with that problem she turned to me again and asked me again what I want. I explained it again and just as I finish the women working in customer service returns and the women I was speaking to tells me to go there which I did. I again explain my problem for the 5th time. She tells me with some attitude that they haven’t had any other returns of this kind of potatoes. I didn’t know what I should answer that so I decided to ignore it. I got my money back but the attitude I received from every person I interacted with was just awful. I was very polite and was not upset. Since all 4 workers I interacted with were equally bad I can see that it’s systematic and not bad luck...

This review is in regard with SaveionFood online delivery system. We have made an order on Sunday to deliver on Monday evening. On Monday evening at 9:45pm the driver called us and said that he can not deliver the order at that night and he noted that the order will reschedule for the next day. We accepted the rescheduling and confirmed that we will be available for Tuesday between 7 to 9 pm. The next day they did not show up, they never sent us a message or gave us a call to confirm whether they bring the delivery or not. We tried to call the customer service and their working hour is only until 4 pm!!! On Wednesday morning we were very upset about the situation and called the customer service for the second time to follow up and the lady on the phone said that the driver forgot to deliver your order!!! and they can bring it to us late night. My wife asked her if they can expedite our order and bring it in the morning because this is technically an issue on their end. and the lady refused to reschedule and only gave us the option to cancel and refund the order. Although I am a regularly customer of SOF online delivery system but to be fair this is not the way I would expect to be treated. SaveonFood is responsible for holding the value of our order for three business days and then giving us no option but to cancel and refund. This approach is not respectful of their customer and I would demand a...
