i am a toña fan! space, food and service is top notch.
the moment you walk in, the space just happily welcomes you. i love the color palette choice in the interior. it's a vibrant addition to raincouver. its something new and different from other spaces that are very minimal. i also love how they collaborated with different ceramic artists for their cups and dishware! it's a special space.
my favourites are their chocolate croissant, and canelé! i enjoyed their chai latte, it was delicious. i literally will not have a chocolate croissant if it is not made by the owner, daniel muñoz. perfect amount of butter, flakiness and chocolate. life changing. i would also recommend their chocolate box, hazelnut, and black sesame kinako dragees. i love the hot cocoa bon bon, and the almond popping candy one. it's creative and delicous.
service is great, i always appreciate a lovely warm welcome! staff are kind to answer any questions about the various pastries, and drink offerings. there is no washroom, but staff has your back with alternatives.
not ideal for studying! it is quite small, with limited seating. i suggest you come here to read a book, and/or enjoy some tasty treats...
Read moreFirst Time Coming to this New cafe on Dunbar. The cafe was very cute and I can say the renovations are very cute.
However, I could not get over the fact their prices are by far too high. I mean $8 for a tiny drink, why would I buy when I can go to the Cafe at Stongs which offers a much larger drink for almost half the price. The coffee tasted bitter and not even close to as smooth as Cafe Artigiano down the street.
Upon writing this review, It seems many of the reviews are either friends of the owner or complete bogus. This place is a scam and very expensive, I would not recommend. As a local resident I hate it when scammers come to this neighbourhood trying to take advantage of the affluent I don't care customers trying to rip the entire neighbourhood off.
The only circumstance I would come would be to sit inside and not purchase anything. That being said, I hope their renovations make up for their bitter coffee priced way out of line. Just because you are in Dunbar, does not mean you can rip us off $8 for your "handmade coffee". Do not trust...
Read moreSuch a cute little cafe with a wide array of baked goods! I came to try one of their savory pastry specials but unfortunately they were all sold out 💔. Ordered the prosciutto croissant instead and it was absolute perfection — easily the tastiest savory croissant I’ve had! I honestly think it may have been a good thing the special was sold out because otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered the croissant haha! They were also super sweet and ended up giving me an extra cookie. On that note, I have been on a journey to find the best chocolate cookie in Vancouver and so far this one has been my favorite! Perfectly crispy on the edges, chewy on the inside, and the chocolate is to die for!
Couldn’t recommend this place enough! The service and quality...
