Truck Stop Cafe — Restaurant in Vancouver

Maybe I picked the wrong dish, but their Salisbury steak was truly god awful. I don't know how anyone can make a ground beef patty tough, but they did a great job at it. The mixed veg was obviously frozen (you know, the veg mix you get in hospitals), which was fine.....maintaining the inexpensive diner aesthetics, sure, I give them that, but at least season it with salt. The rice pilaf looked more promising than the veg, but it also lacked basic seasoning and I swear it needed more time on the stove. The gravy was obviously from an industrial package or pre-mix, you can tell from a mile away. My friend's turkey dish had the same brand of gravy, just the chicken version. I know they are not charging an arm and a leg for this, but at least do a basic job at cooking....at least everything was hot, they get one star for that. It's one of those meals where you get angry...

Love supporting family own businesses and glad to have finally tried Truck Stop Cafe.

Friendly service and was greeted and seated right away. Food came out in a timely manner and didn't have to wait long at all.

One of the best homemade diner burgers I have had and well worth the price point. The patty was home made, juicy and flavorful. Got the works and there was no need to add anything else. Only disappointment was they ran out of onion rings to substitute jk!

The eggs for the breakfast was cooked medium well as ordered and the potatoes were crispy and soft, but most importantly not powdery like a lot of home fries can get.

Highly recommend this place and will be adding this to a regular...

Great food. great staff Love the breakfasts this is still my goto for a diner breakfast!

Aug 22 update New owners a few months ago:

Mushroom burger and fries, just as good as always.

2nd time back: Fries and gravy still GREAT

Denver sandwich Nowhere near as good as it was. Bread not toasted Amount of egg a lot less Green pepper and onion tiny sparse peices

Yet to come back and try breakfast
