Cento 40 in Woodbridge is an absolute gem that deserves every bit of praise it receives and more. The moment I walked in, I was immediately captivated by the unbelievable ambiance—intimate yet lively, with a perfect balance of modern elegance and warmth. The atmosphere sets the stage for what turned out to be an extraordinary dining experience.
The service was nothing short of exceptional, truly unparalleled. Every detail was attended to with precision, making me feel not just welcome but genuinely valued as a guest. The staff's knowledge of the menu and their ability to anticipate my needs without being intrusive was something I've rarely encountered, even in some of the finest establishments.
Now, let's talk about the food—beyond all expectations! Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. The flavors were bold yet refined, with a perfect harmony that danced on the palate. The portion sizes were nothing short of unbelievable, offering incredible value without compromising on quality or presentation. The attention to detail in both taste and aesthetics was clear in every bite.
And for the price? On point. Given the quality of the food, the exceptional service, and the overall experience, it was more than reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was, especially considering the premium experience.
This was my first time dining at Cento 40, and I can confidently say it won’t be my last. I’ve dined at many restaurants, but this one stands out as a favorite. I’m genuinely baffled that it only has a 4.6 rating—perhaps some people are just hard to please. For me, this place is a solid 5-star experience across the board. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won’t be...
Read moreEDIT in response: EDITING AGAIN BECAUSE THE RESTAURANT LIED. I AM ATTACHING PROOF OF WALNUT PIZZA AND OTHER NUT PIZZA FROM THEIR OWN MENU AND INSTAGRAM PAGE. THEY ALSO CHANGED THEIR ORIGINAL RESPONSE.
Nut allergies are hard to deal with. Mistakes happen. This has happened before and when the restaurant team apologized and fixed the system that causes the error, it's forgiven and forgotten.
For example, the restaurant responded by asking "when?" A good system would ensure that your team reports this to management immediately.
Cento40, I sincerely think the correct response to this incident is to train your team to deal with allergies and minimize liability.
OG review: Pretty restaurant. I let the server know I'm allergic to all nuts.
Walnuts right on top of the pizza and I get major allergic reaction. Had to use emergency medicine. No apology from servers and later another customer confronted me outside later because staff saw fit to gossip. Somehow I'm a villian for people upset that the 1 server forgot to tell the 1 chef about food concerns?
I sincerely regret not calling the Canadian Food Inspection Agency when this happened. People like this take money, market their product as "elevated" and will run you over on their way...
Read moreAfter reading some reviews my husband and I decided to give this place a try. First time dining here and it will be the last . I’ve ordered the spaghetti Mare as per the waitress suggestion , my husband ordered the beef tenderloin. My pasta was very under seasoned. It was filled with lots of different seafood , but unfortunately it was just not good. My husband’s dish should’ve came with the potato puree which it did not. It tasted mediocre. Kids ordered the cheese pizza - which was the best food on our table. One of the pasta that we ordered for my son, didn’t have any salt on it. We had to get replacement and the waitress was very lovely and accommodating. Another letdown was that there were little kids running around our table from a private party. The waitress had to tell them several times to stop. Just ruined the atmosphere for the night. Overall, there are much better restaurants in the area which offer great food options. Service in general was great - no complains there. The waitress was very friendly and professional. But because of the food - we wouldn’t come...
