The food

It was very hard to pick only one item from the menu because everything seemed super yummy 🤤! I ended up ordering the following: • Guamuchilito Roll, was super tasty, the crispy tempura around it, is so delicious and makes the maki piece 🍱 so easy to grab with chopsticks 🥢. It’s BIG! 12 pcs plus the roasted yellow pepper and chopped carrot 🥕 made a great garnishing! • Carne Asada volcan 🌋 the beef is grilled, well done, but still juicy. Topped with pico de Gallo sever on a corn tostada the combination is great and is very well served • Shrimp 🍤 volcán 🌋 was also super tasty and filling - the only thing is that my tostada got soggy super quick.. or I might be a very slow eater 🤔 - • Poblano 🌮 I was already a bit full but I couldn’t stop eating as the food was so tasty 🤤 • Tres leches cake 🍰- yes I know.. I shouldn’t have ordered it but it’s impossible to go to a Mexican restaurant and not have this dessert!! Tasted just like home!!

The service Very caring and nice people, they make you feel like you’re part of the family! I think the most important thing is how you feel in a place to go back. They nailed it both, food is so good and the service is spectacular!

While you wait they promptly bring to the table a complementary multicoloured nacho chips and salsa and a Jasmin tea. I was so hungry that I ate them all 😋

I didn’t have to wait long got the order to come to the table (within the next 10 min everything was served!)

The ambiance Alma explained to us the history of the young restaurant, and the bravery of opening amidst the quarantine. How everything there is carefully made by the owners family. She also explained the background of the flavours that they are bringing to their establishment are from the north west region of Mexico, Sinaloa. This costal city is known for the sea food and grilled meat. Hence the “Mexican style sushi”

My opinion

I will definitely go back often, and will recommend ppl to try it, it’s an authentic Mexican cuisine, very particular from that region!

The food is delicious, the portions are good size and according to the prices but the service is nefarious. We arrived, we took a seat, the waitresses passed by, they saw us, nobody attended us, a waitress took us some camaron tacos that obviously we did not ask, she tells you that they were not ours and that nobody had attended us, she just said, ok and she left. Minutes later the manager arrived, asked us if someone had received us at the entrance, we told him no, it hurts, I came back with the letters and he told us that at one point they took us the order, later the waitress Jabibi arrived, she took the order and it took more than 20 min to take the saucer (a molcajete), the manager came to the table again to ask if everything was okay, we asked him for extra lemons and he told us that at one moment they were taking them, we finished dinner and they never took them, He came back again and asked if they had taken the lemons, we said no and I answered with an expression of: "no mames" which manager answers like this?? what lack of education towards the clients, before finishing dinner we asked the waitress for extra tortillas, she took them right away but cold, we asked her to warm them or change and so she did. We really do not plan to return or recommend the place in the minimum, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired, the place is small and there are around 6-7 people attending the tables is for them to give a good service but it is not like that, the karaoke and the girl who was singing characterized by Selena very good to set but we...

I came here a while ago because I was in the area and decided to go here because the food looked quite appealing. I ordered two Birria tacos and two Chicken tacos and don’t get me wrong they were nice and warm however there was nothing overtly unique or out of the box in a way they were just “plain”. The same goes for the Mexican cola, I’ve had it before yet the ones I had did not taste like Mexican cola- that or maybe the waiter had provided us regular drinks. The consomé was better than the tacos in a way however the item that blew my mind was the Churros. They were amazing! They are a MUST if you are eating here- they were fresh and warm and full of caramel in every bite.

The dining ambience was fulfilling as the restaurant has great decorative imagery and details in their restaurant but some of the tables were not cleaned properly and there were a couple of hornets buzzing around which really bugged out me and a couple other diners.

What honestly ruined the experience was the end, the waiter was friendly throughout the experience yet when she provided the bill she started staring at me almost if she expected me to tip a lot. I tipped 10% yet she looked very angry with me and left hastily. It was quite embarrassing on my part as I did not do anything wrong. For that reason; the service, made me feel quite upset with my experience.
