Extremely dissapointed with my take-out experience. I stood near the cash area on the Harvey’s side to have my order taken. I waited almost 10 minutes until one of the girls took my order. They didn’t even acknowledge me before taking my order. I was just left to wait in silence. A simple “Hi, I’ll be right with you” or “Welcome to Harvey’s serving Swiss, I’ll be with you in a moment!” would’ve been nice instead of being treated like I was invisible.
Since I was buying food for my friend and I, I placed a decent sized order. For appetizers, I ordered the cheesy pierogies with Cajun sour cream & the chicken spring rolls. For the main, I ordered the chicken parm bundle for us to split. I was asked “soup or salad”. I was then asked soup or “salad again”. I was not given the option of fries or pasta. So, I ordered Caesar salad with bacon and a cup of soup. But then when I asked “does the chicken parm come with the pasta as advertised” the girl didn’t know what to say and needed to ask a manager. I was informed that the pasta or fries was one of the side options. So, i re-iterated “okay, i will take the soup and the pasta instead” but, the price went up.
The girl didn’t know what to do (which, is simple. I used to work at a harveys serving Swiss, so I could’ve literally shown her what to press. I offered too as well, but she seemed too stressed out. She was looking over her shoulder for the manager or higher up I guess) so, she called the manager, but I was in a hurry to pick up my friend. So I said “it’s fine, just leave the salad on”.
I ordered at about 6:15PM (Sunday Night). I did not receive my food until almost 6:40. I had to also ask for my pop, which I ordered, they almost didn’t give it to me.
By the time I went to go pick up my friend (only 15 minutes away from your location) the food was cold. The chicken parm’s cheese wasn’t melty, the pasta was bland, the Caesar salad had barely any bacon, the soup was mainly broth, the Cajun sour cream cup was squishy (as if the sour cream had been prepped and it seeped into the side, mushing it up kind of like a paper straw in a cup with liquid) and the cheesy bread (which was an up charge) was not cheesy.

We waited over 30 mins after sitting down without anyone coming to our table to order drinks until we finally flagged someone down. The lady helped us to put our order in as we already waited so long, at this point we still did not know who our server was. There was one server named Leslie tending the area and we thought maybe it was him. However Leslie avoided our table like a plague, no eye contact, no checking up on us, nothing. Until I flagged him down and asked if he was our server, he said he’s not, and he’s actually just helping out some tables… at this point I noticed that there were multiple tables that were getting frustrated with his service. I watched him pacing around between tables within our area except for ours.. which I thought was so odd, he had to be our server. After we were done our meal we wanted our kids dessert so I flagged Leslie again, asked him again if he is our server and he admitted he was. I asked why would he purposely ignore us, he started arguing with me saying they are short staffed and it’s not his fault, etc. I totally understand how busy and overwhelming it can get during a rush but I feel like he should have at least had the courtesy to let us know before hand, so I can expect to wait a little longer than usual or even decide to go some place else for dinner. Instead he just kept avoiding us and when we finally did get a chance to talk to him he argued with us. Afterwards I voiced that Leslie was not a good server and there were multiple customers that agreed with me.

Read moreCan I give this location ZERO stars?! Absolutely terrible. This is the second time I’ve tried to order delivery from this location and I don’t know why I decided to give them a second chance. The first time the delivery was extremely late and when I tried to get in contact with the restaurant to then get in contact with the driver, he was at a completely different address. The worker on the phone from the restaurant was also very rude and not understanding at all. Fast forward to tonight, decided I would give them another chance and the same problems! I placed my order at 4:53 and it is now 6:37 and I still have no food at my door. The tracking app said that they should arrive by 6:19 - clearly that did not happen. Called the restaurant and took multiple attempts for them to actually answer. They said they can’t get a hold of the driver but their app says that he should be at my door. He is not. She tries to contact the driver again and still cannot get a hold of him. Forever waiting for Swiss chalet deliveries. Extremely frustrating. I understand they may be busy but there are so many other restaurants in the business and they are able to handle it. There are so many bad reviews for this location, you think they would get these problems under control by now. Absolutely terrible service. Definitely won’t be giving them a THIRD chance.
