My family and I placed our typical order of (two burritos and one quesadilla). We also invited another family with us. I placed the entire order online for both families. As soon as we sat down at the restaurant to eat, my daughter took one bite of her quesadilla and spit it out and exclaimed that it was very spicy. As my daughter drank her bottle of water to wash away the spice from her mouth, I went up to the cashier with the quesadilla platter in hand and I kindly explained that the quesadilla that was made for my daughter was spicy and that I would like another one made please. The clerk/employee seemed like she wanted to help us so she walked over to girl that made our order who we were later informed that she was also the "Manager". I could hear the Manager say from a distance that she wouldn't make us a new quesadilla. The lady came back and repeated to me what her manager had told her. I kindly explained that we come to this location twice a month and my daughter has always ordered the same thing. She has never had an issue so perhaps some spice accidentally fell into her quesadilla. I wasn't blaming anyone, I was just asking for another quesadilla to be made. She was sorry but she wasn't allowed to issue us a new quesadilla So I asked for a refund and she said no to that too. She was as polite as she could be about it. So I asked to speak to her Manager. That is when the Manager (girl who prepared out order) came over. She immediate carried an arrogance and attitude with her as she walked over as if we were annoying her or interrupting her. She flat out said that she cannot make us a new one, that she made the order herself, that there wasn't any spice and she wouldn't issue a refund. I explained the we come to this location all the time and we have never had a complaint. We always order the same thing, so if my daughter says it is spicy then it was indeed spicy. The manager said something about "if you buy a shirt from a store and you are not happy with the shirt that you bought then you cannot get a refund". I told her that the analogy is absurd and that restaurants issue refunds or re-prepare food all the time. That is what customer service is. She rolled her eyes at me and refused to issue me anything more. She said that the best that she can do is take apart the quesadilla and show me the ingredients she put inside. I called my daughter over to explain to the lady about how her quesadilla was. My daughter who is 8 years old explained that we come here a lot and she always orders a quesadilla, but this time hers was very spicy. She then began to cry in front of the lady because she could see that the situation was causing some tension. The lady gave no apology nor any regard to my daughter. She rolled her eyes again and began frantically punching buttons on her cash register and then claimed that she issued a refund on my credit card for $10.XX. I said thank you. She walked away without a reply and headed to the back and never returned. She did not give me a receipt to prove the refund nor do I see it refunded on my credit card history. Perhaps it takes a few days to show up. Aside from the refund, I must say that I have rarely have ever sent back food at any restaurant. I am not one to do that. And when I have I have always been very polite and professional as I know that oversights happen. I was not blaming anyone. In all honesty, the situation ruined our night. It was all the children and my friend's could speak about that night forward, about the manager's attitude and refusal to help. This "manager" who's name tag I believe read "Grandma" was one of the most obnoxious and unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. She is supposed to be the face of the company and she should have a much higher level of professionalism and customer service and set the bar higher...
Read moreI love Burrito Boyz, but will never return to this location again. After my being in the hospital for 2 days, we got our burritos and headed home (finally) about 20 minutes away. Once we got home, we opened our burritos which were clearly labelled correctly, just to find mine was wrong. It was unbelievably spicy and full of food I do not like. Frustrated, we call to let them know of their error. The girl on the phone seemed almost annoyed. Asking for receipt, making us search for it. Not once offering an apology or even a sympathetic tone. She finally agreed to put my name in the mistake book so I could get that same burrito for free next time. We stated that we were never in that area and were frustrated and simply got, “well you’d have to come here for a refund anyways.” Being put in a mistake book to get the exact same thing we already paid for, but not getting it when we wanted it, is ridiculous. Not even so much as an apology! The staff stood in the kitchen laughing and chatting as if they were just hanging out at home. Perhaps more focus should be put on the job! Please believe the bad reviews and don’t waste your...
