My group visited on November 1 for my friends birthday. Everyone ordered food and drinks and I joined about an hour and a half in. Upon joining, I was sitting for about twenty minutes and the waitress (Alisha) had not come over and greeted me — she was too busy having a conversation with her friend at another table. There was one other table besides us and her friend, and that table was staring at her desperately, as they were needing something as well. I gave it a couple more minutes before literally walking over to her and asking her to serve my table, then directing her attention to her other table. Alisha then brought my cocktail out and proceeded into the back of the restaurant. When she brought the cocktail, she did not address the rest of my party at all — they were all wanting another drink! Anyways, they let it go and sat there without drinks, and meanwhile, I found two flies in my cocktail. I waited awhile for Alisha to walk back onto the floor, but she never did. I then saw her polishing dishes up front, so I walked up and let her know about the flies. All she said was, “oh I’ll let the bartender know.” I thought she was going to replace my drink, but she never returned. Mind you, I was still wanting to order food! And no, this was nowhere near closing time! It was still two hours prior to close. So after about fifteen more minutes, my party decided to call it a night because clearly, Alisha did not feel like serving that evening. However, when we got our bills, one of them was wrong — Alisha added a food item that they did not eat. We soon realized our other friend had ordered that, it had been left off of her already-paid-bill, and she had already left. When pointed out, Alisha was hostile and said, “well I told her to check her bill and she said it looked good so.” My friends explained that she didn’t speak English well and probably didn’t understand, and Alisha just stared at us and said “I told her to check it.” My friend paid the bill because it really wasn’t a big deal, we were just trying to explain the situation; however, Alisha was very rude and non-empathetic. Furthermore, she then threw the receipt at my friend (yes, threw) and said “here you go” while walking away. I hardly consider any of this service if you ask me. I didn’t even get a chance to order food because I was never asked! The only thing I’m happy about is that I didn’t have to pay for my drink with the flies in it. I genuinely hope that Alisha was just having a rough day and that she isn’t always like that,...
Read moreThe 4th Mile Pub has been one of my absolute favourite places to go for chicken wings for at least five years. It was my go-to spot whenever I craved a casual meal and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I always loved that it wasn’t packed with noisy teenagers or trying too hard to be trendy. It was just a solid, cozy neighborhood pub with good service and—most importantly—great wings.
Over the years, I’ve brought friends here, recommended it to out-of-town visitors, and even gone out of my way after a long day just to treat myself to their wings. The Lemon Pepper wings, in particular, were always a standout for me. They were consistently flavorful, generously portioned, and had that perfect balance of crispiness and seasoning that made them addictively good.
So after weeks of craving wings, I decided to stop by yesterday afternoon and order my usual. I was genuinely excited to sit down and enjoy what had always been a reliably satisfying meal.
Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into confusion and disappointment. What was served to me was not what I remembered, nor what I expected. Instead of a hearty pound of wings—which was always the standard—I received just six pieces: three drummettes and three flats. They looked small on the plate and even smaller considering the price.
But the portion size wasn’t even the biggest letdown. The wings themselves were barely seasoned. The “Lemon Pepper” flavor I’d always looked forward to was nowhere to be found. What I got was a light dusting of something pale and flavorless—definitely not the zesty, peppery, tangy coating I’d come to associate with that dish. I even double-checked my order, thinking there must’ve been a mix-up.
Needless to say, I left disappointed and still craving the wings I remembered.
I’m not sure what changed—whether it’s the kitchen, the supplier, or just a one-off bad batch—but it was enough to make me seriously reconsider coming back. It’s always sad to see a beloved spot decline in quality, especially when it’s one you’ve held onto for years.
I hope this was just an off day and not a new normal, but honestly, I’m not in a...
Read moreSeptember 3rd 2025 Our lovely waitress was Pstient with us as we sampled some of the flavoured beers before ordering. It paid off as my friend chose the Lime one while I stuck with the Pilsner. We shared a variety of wings and a house salad and calamari lettuce wraps and lemon pepper wings. All delicious! Try Wing Wednesday when a pound of wings is $12.00! And they are the most crisp wings I have had in forever🩷✅ Aug 30 th 25. Wing Wednesday $12 ! They were piping hot and the many choices left you anting for more do we ordered 5 orders over the course of a few hours. Our excellent waitress brought us dips for our Salt and Pepper and Lemon pepper wings which were nice and crisp. The BBQ wings had a good Smokey flavour but not over the top! I’d highly recommend you stop in and give them a try next Wednesday! I be had an opportunity to return on August 21 st and I have to say that once again I was impressed with the new changes to the menu and the good portions. I had the Cheddar Bacon burger and it was as good as it gets. Love the new logo seared into the top of the bun! This looks so trendy and on point, raising your standard to top notch! Our friends and I will be back!
Our waitress was five star and more! The four of us had a variety, most from the Happy hour menu…3 hot and delicious roast beef sliders, seafood chowder, half order of natchos, lemon pepper wings, ice cold beers for $6.50 a pint and my driver quite liked the non alcoholic beer. The food came relatively quickly and it was hot and tasty. Our waitress, gave us top notch service, checking on us, offering a taster for a beer we wanted to try, and overall had a lovely friendly manner about her. The entire pub was in the midst of getting all decorated for Halloween and looked cute spooky with giant spiders and webs. And mini pumpkins. The front entrance was the best so check out my photos of the skeletons who forgot to make a reservation. It is busy on Friday nights so for a sure thing just call to reserve. It’s close to home so I can walk...
