I wrote a very good review for you one year ago because the food was great and I was very happy. The ingredients were always fresh and everything was very good.

For the past year, I’ve been ordering sashimi and sushi rolls from you at least twice a week. Everything was always good until last week.

Last week, I ordered a Korean seafood ramen bowl. While eating, a piece of crab shell or shell from some seafood got stuck in my mouth and I almost choked. I couldn’t eat the rest of the food and threw it away.

This week, today, I ordered two rolls. One spicy salmon roll and one spicy tuna roll. Both fish were so old, soft, and smelly that they were mushy. It was impossible to chew them. I had ordered these rolls for my child, and unfortunately my child ate some of them. I hope my child doesn’t get sick.

This experience has been stressful and upsetting. I’ve lost all trust in this restaurant. If I could give zero stars, I would. I will never come back.

The staff were incredibly kind, especially with kids, and provided fast service. Parking was plentiful, which was convenient. However, the disappointment came with the presentation of the dishes, as they lacked beautiful decoration, and serving water in plastic cups for both adults and kids was a downside. Despite these drawbacks, the quick service and friendly staff made up for it to some extent. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I believe in professionalism and mutual respect, so I wanted to share my experience.

On April 25th around 12 PM, I arrived at this restaurant to pick up a DoorDash order. I understand that things can get busy during lunch rushes, and delays are sometimes unavoidable. That said, I waited for 17 minutes while being told twice that the order would be ready in “5 minutes.” The second time I asked, I was simply ignored.

After waiting patiently, a manager or higher-up came out and told me to cancel the order because it would take even more time. When I politely asked why I wasn’t informed of that earlier, I was told, “I’m not the cook,” followed by, “Don’t come back here again.” I was shocked by the tone and unnecessary escalation — I had remained calm and respectful the entire time.

This experience left me feeling disrespected and frustrated. As delivery drivers, we’re part of the customer service ecosystem too. A little communication and courtesy can go a long way.

I truly hope the team reflects on this and treats future drivers with...

BIPOC be wary of the customer service here!!! I am a driver with a delivery service. I was on the phone with a friend who is black and also does delivery while he was picking up from sushi k, he asked to use the bathroom and was denied. When he questioned why he couldn’t, the staff replied that they were scared AND a customer also stepped, so three people yelling at him at the same time… all for enquiring why he is not able to use the bathroom. The next day, I had a delivery from this restaurant and I asked to use the washroom, she told me I could use it. I asked if she worked the previous day and so I told her that I witnessed her interaction with my friend. She tried to tell me that he was aggressive and scaring the staff and when I told her that I was on the phone and knew this wasn’t the case, she changed her story to not letting people use the bathroom because it gets messy to fast. The food might(??) be decent, but I do not recommend this...

Becareful when ordering online! I ordered a platter online that said it was $17.99. We arrived to pick up and I sent my son in to get the order. He came to the car and told me that there was an error on the website and we had been charged $47.99 rather than the price on the website, $17.99!!! I went in to ask, and the girl at the till shows me the brochure. I said ordered from your website not the brochure. I let her know I wanted a refund and was not paying double for my order and their mistake! I did get a refund. We did bring home one order of rolls from the order, chomped down and the end part of an avocado was in the roll! I have always been a sushi k fan but after today, I am not going to be a return customer.

I am disappointed with the miso soup. We had take out and the 6 oz serving was half full. There were 5 minuscule pieces of tofu. It’s salty water! Fill it up! Don’t slice the tofu into 2 mm pieces and add some seaweed. Total cost-4 cents! Come on. Make us feel good about giving you our money. It was so cheap, we couldn’t enjoy the rest so we said “well that’s it for this place. There’s too many other restaurants that want our money!” Boo

Becareful when ordering online! I ordered a platter online that said it was $17.99. We arrived to pick up and I sent my son in to get the order. I am disappointed with the miso soup. We had take out and the 6 oz serving was half full. There were 5 minuscule pieces of tofu. It’s salty water! Fill it up! Don’t slice the tofu into 2 mm pieces and add some seaweed. Total cost-4 cents! Come on. Make us feel good about giving you our money. It was so cheap, we couldn’t enjoy the rest so we said “well that’s it for this place. There’s too many other restaurants that want our money!” Boo
