City Pizza — Restaurant in Waterloo

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

My wife ordered a pizza for her daycare — it arrived burnt. When she called to let them know, they gave her the runaround and said that if she wanted a replacement, she’d have to come pick it up herself.

She runs a daycare — she can’t just leave the kids. When she explained that, they basically said “that’s your problem” and hung up on her. When she tried calling back, they picked up and immediately hung up again.

So I had to leave work to deal with it myself. When I got there, they told me I needed to bring back the burnt pizza in order to get the replacement. That was never said — my wife was only told she had to pick it up, not bring the old one back.

I asked to speak to the owner, and at first was told he wasn’t there. Then suddenly another guy steps up claiming he is the owner. I explained the whole situation — how they spoke to my wife, how unprofessional it was, and that we deserved a refund.

Instead of taking accountability, he starts arguing with me and tells me I now have to pay for the new pizza. I said absolutely not, I already paid for the original. Then he just walks away mid-conversation.

I stood there until new customers came in — only then did they hand me the replacement pizza.

This was the last time we’ll ever order from this place. Rude, unprofessional, and zero respect for their...

Something has changed! Maybe it’s new staff or ownership but the pizza quality is not as good as it once was. I’ve been very disappointed with my past two orders. I didn’t write a review the previous time but tonight I’m disappointed a second time. Upon entering tonight, two people had their hands in the cheese bin, just stirring the cheese I guess. Neither washed their hands after fondling the cheese, I’m disgusted! I ordered a pepperoni and green pepper and they forgot the green pepper. No discount offered for the error. The oven must be turned up as the pizzas coming out of the oven were dark including mine making it over cooked and on the dry side. Definitely won’t be able to reheat the pizza tomorrow as it’s too dry now and will be dryer tomorrow. My pepperoni pizza was very salty, can’t eat it. I was not pleased with my previous order and thought I’d give them another go but tonight’s order was awful.

After making a phone with my disappointment, City Pizza, Waterloo did give me a credit for my pizza fir another time and it was pretty good.

First time ordering from city pizza,4055 New st Burlington. Pizza came doughy and not cooked well done. like I asked.It was soggy and had to be recooked in my own oven The delivery person tipped our pizza. And it came crushe like it was dropped on the ground ,the garlic bread was soggy. Wings had no sauce on them, the sauce came on the side, there was not enough sauce and the sauce was gross. They didnt Mark which sauce was bbq and which sauce was medium. This whole order was executed very poorly and am not happy with this place at all and will not be eating from them again nor will I be sending people and friends to them. Very very disappointed with a place that is new and did a horrible job for us being 1st time customer. I do not recommend this...
