Starbucks — Restaurant in Waterloo

Not giving it 2 stars because they don’t redeem star rewards, charge for weird things etc. because they are licensed! They are not owned by starbucks they are owned by the university but are just allowed to sell starbucks products (Im a corporate Starbucks partner so I do know this).

I am giving it 2 stars because the staff are very poorly trained. I went in a few weeks ago to get the cold foam cascara cold brew and saw they were training someone. Okay fine it’ll take a bit longer than usual but this took 20 minutes and there was one person in front of me...the trainer and trainee were just kinda messing around and it didn’t look like they really knew what was going on.

Despite being fully staffed all the time, there is always only one cashier available. I gave them a starbucks cup for my drink (you're supposed to get a discount) but the cashier told me I had to pay full price even though my friend right behind me received a discount. I then waited for 15 minutes until I realized they forgot about my drink and when I asked, the same cashier told me she THREW OUT my cup because she thought that I had handed it to her to be tossed even though I paid ?? The worst starbucks that I have ever been to. Drinks don't taste that good (ordered a cold foam cappuccino that tasted like just milk), staff are not friendly and untrained (asked me to confirm my orders three times; told them ahead of time that I don't have enough money on my card and would like to load before I pay.
