Twisted Indian Waterloo — Restaurant in Waterloo

I wouldn't mind revisiting Twisted Indian Wraps, and here is why.

There is a pretty good amount of food options, but unlike many other restaurants, the non-vegetarian options cannot be made vegetarian. We ordered Masala Fries, Mini Salad Bowl, Naanwich, Naanza, Mango Lassi, and the Aloo Tikki Chaat recommended by the service. The Masala Fries were a bit of a disappointment because in other restaurants, Masala Fries are filled with many seasonings/spices, sauces, and toppings, but these Masala Fries were plain French Fries with a bit of seasoning on top and served with packet ketchup. The Mini Salad Bowl was pretty good, and I am glad we ordered the mini size because it is very filling since they added a lot of protein (my protein choice was Saag), but the server said she would add Jalapeños, and did not. The Naanza was tasty, but the very scrumptious Naanwich was the favorite. I can see why we were recommended the Aloo Tikki Chaat because it was also delicious. The Mango Lassi, which I forgot to photograph, was average because it had an artificial, distant mango flavor, and more cream/milk flavor.

The service is pretty friendly and quick. Since the restaurant is a bit similar to a salad bar type of place, we can go and see our food being prepared and customize it, so the food arrives quickly. The food prices and quantities are both good. The restaurant, cutlery, dishes, seats, tables, and restrooms are clean. I am very happy with the dietary restriction friendliness, as it includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free! It would be better if some dishes could have the meat removed, however.

One of the most innovative Indian fast food restaurant!!!

We just moved to Kitchener and asked our friend to suggest a place to get Indian Chaat! That is how we landed to this awesome restaurant!

Thy have done a great job in identifying new ideas to make tasty Indian Chaat and fast food items quickly.

We have ordered from here almost 3 times already and cannot agree more with our friend that their Samosa Chaat is one of the best items they have which was part of all 3 orders. We also tried the Poutine this time and loved it so much!

They lost 1 star as they do not have handicapped parking and handicapped accessible entrance. The washroom was closed when I visited last.

The quality of their Chaat is really awesome! However, when you eat you have to dig in. They have to ensure to put the sauces not just on top but also layer them as they start putting additional items. Else, we miss the taste of all the chutneys as we start eating from top and go down.

They so serve alcohol as well, pls check out the picture below for price and availability.

The ambiance is pretty cool and quite. They have maintained COVID protocol and no 2 groups can sit adjecent to each other.

There were different people serving all the 3 times I went for pickup. They were all amazing and gave a very good experience. They also make your Chaat your way if you tell them to make it more spicy or tangey or however you like!!!

This is definitely our go to place for Indian Chaat and we cannot wait to try all the other items...

EDIT: Although I have been a loyal customer (ordering at least once a week) since the store opened, I have become more and more displeased by this locations service. I am so fed up to the point that I am writing an update to my previous review. Unfortunately there isn’t an option to select the vegan sauce on any of the delivery apps so I always write it in the notes. Multiple times I received my order without the sauce and was super disappointed because it is my favourite and my meal is dry without the sauce. It’s just not the same without it. So my lovely boyfriend started calling the restaurant each time after placing the order to make sure the note was read. We didn’t mind doing this but after awhile the staff started to seem annoyed with our constant calls so we tried not calling and I didn’t get any sauce so we started calling again. Last time we ordered, I called and the gentleman on the phone seemed annoyed that I was calling so when we ordered tonight I was feeling hesitant to call. I thought I would try trusting in the restaurant again since we call almost weekly. I’m sure if you have read this far you can guess that my order has no sauce. Very frustrating. Service is very hit or miss
