Although I was really hoping to have found a great new escape room, I was surprisingly disappointed with their unprofessionalism. To start off, we had arrived at 2:00 (which was already later than recommended since they recommended getting there early to have time to sign the waiver), yet still had to wait about 20-30 minutes for our room to be ready. Instead of telling us they were taking time to set up the room, they left us in the waiting room alone and confused about what we were doing. Thankfully, they provided some small games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time but it was still very unprofessional as this caused us to be out of the room 30 minutes after we had assumed so our ride had actually left, not knowing how much longer we were going to take, causing a large inconvenience to all of us. Then, we got into the room and everything was going smoothly (other than the very old whiteboard marker I repeatedly asked to change since it was practically like invisible ink) until we had to ask for a hint. The hint they had provided for us was about a solution that we had JUST solved. This only confused us more because we didn't know if we had to do something else with it but, no, that part of the room was completely done. This happened a couple times during our time, which frustrated all of us a lot because we wasted a fair amount of time just being confused about what the clue meant. Another time we asked for a clue, we got no answer. I think it was only after about 5 minutes and 7 times pushing the hint button that we finally got a response but we had no clue what to do during that time so they had wasted an additional 5 minutes of our time on that. Finally, multiple problems in that room were completely useless, such as putting a number on the whiteboard at the beginning that only served as a time waster (again) because what it was (supposedly) meant for were bells that didn't do anything and a locked drawer that could've just been given to us or something to solve. All in all, we did enjoy ourselves (not as much as we usually do with escape rooms) but we all agreed that we would not be returning until we believed things had changed. Had this escape room costed less, I may have been alright with letting this go but I feel like this was a waste of good money. P.S. - we never got a new whiteboard marker and we basically had to give up on using the whiteboard because of...

This was our first visit to Escapology and we were excited to try a new escape room venue. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. We booked the game for the 4:25pm slot and our group of 7 arrived 15 mins early as recommended by website. Although booked online some of our group were paying debt upon arrival just to find out the interac debit was not working. Luckily one of us had a credit card on them. We were then told to have a seat while they get the room ready for us. They had a nice waiting area and some little puzzles to do while waiting. Twenty five minutes later and still waiting we thought did they forget about us?? One of us went to desk and rang the bell and asked if the room was ready yet?? A few more minutes later someone finally came out and asked if we wanted to start now. Half and hour after our orginal booking time. The scooby doo escape room itself was fun and we made it out in time but we did an issue in the game where one of the clues glitched and we had to go out to the desk and ask them to please send the missing info so we could continue the game. Then when the game was done they took a group victory picture and said they would send it to our email address. Nobody in the group received the group photo and when we called to ask about it they said Unfortunately it did not save it as their booking system isn't working. The decor was great, the room was fun but there was alot of technical issues and delays for a experience that was priced higher than any other escape room we...

I've played many escape rooms at every location in the region, so happy to share my experience here. Firstly, the place does charge more for their rooms than other places. Their website is good - descriptions of rooms and booking experience were nice and easy. The place itself is in a decent location and the steam punk-themed decor is awesome - super love the feel of the reception area. The staff were great, and while our first experience wasn't perfect - we waited a long time to get into the room, there was some technical difficulties and we didn't get out photo at the end - the staff made up for it above and beyond with our second experience. A good place who cares about your experience! Our second room was also tons of fun, challenging and well thought out. The venue manager and games master were engaging and hilarious. I should also mention that we brought our tween/teens with us and they also enjoyed our first room. I'd love to send the kids alone for one of their kid-versioned room. I love the idea of them playing on their own sans-adults to see how they enjoy it.

We'll be back, for sure. Lots more games to play! Thanks...

We played The Pirate's Curse and won with 7 minutes to spare! One of the most immersive escape rooms I have done, it really felt like the hold of a pirate ship. We had a full team of 8, 2 under 12 and it was tight but we managed. My only "complaint" was that we wasted time trying to get locks undone that we had the code correct, we just didn't know we had to push UP then pull DOWN to open. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible and the hint system was very well done, you just had to push a button for them to pop up on the screen. Also they have a kids mode for some of the games, I believe you get a walkie talkie for more precise hints rather than the preprogrammed ones. Looking forward to going back and trying out a different room!

Absolutely fantastic experience, and I am so happily excited that we have another, new escape room facility in the city. Lobby is perfectly themed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was perfectly built with logical puzzles, excellent immersion, story, and a good mix of traditional and technological mechanics. It is also super neat that they have the Warner bros, DC, and other licenses. My only suggestion would be for them to include something to write on, like a small tablet, etc., as some puzzles had a bit to otherwise memorize/organize and thoughts easily become cluttered. Will definitely return and recommend!

We have done LOADS of escape rooms (and often escape TOO fast), and we had a blast in Who Stole Mona. The theming was excellent and the room was really immersive. We found it appropriately challenging for a medium-level room. We beat the record and had 20 minutes to spare! The puzzles were linear, but involved enough that we all felt included in all the solving. Plus, the lobby is great.
