Krazy Fries — Restaurant in Wawa

We were on a long cross country road trip and starving when we passed through Wawa. We caught sight of Krazy Fries - a classic, old-time roadside stop-and-go resto- from the road we could see it was a spot popular with locals and with various crews working in the area - always a good sign that it had the potential to be an amazing greasy spoon.

When we pulled up we saw right away that they had a very tempting menu - we were famished and in the mood for road trip food and realized that this had the potential to get ugly in a hurry - as in we were tempted to order far too much delicious, but not-so-good-for-you food (can you say deep fried cheese curds??!!). But we exercised some restraint and settled on their bacon cheese burgers with a single order of onion rings to share. Yes, you read that right - to share!

The burgers were on point: grill fried to perfection, served with crisp lettuce and good tomatoes, a slice of melted processed cheese (as such a place should serve), heaps of delicious bacon - all on an excellent bun which held up until the last delicious bite.

And about those onion rings. The single order was huge! And the rings were crispy perfection. These folks know how to get their oil ripping hot and when to pull their rings out just before the beautiful golden batter turns to dark brown, bitter failure.

Not worth it. Overpriced for the quality of food... Burger: meat was good but completely tasteless - no flavour. Fries with chili: the most bland flavourless chili fries I have ever received. Looks like ragu with the sauce. Very minimal amount of chili and quality of fry was sup-par. For the money spent you should just go to tim hortons and skip this rip-off. Also menu prices are deceiving and when brought up to management no offer to fix their own mistake - they actually lied trying to cover it up but thankfully I asked for a receipt so I was able to call her out on the lie. First said "it includes tax" which it very clearly does not as shown on the receipt... Then afterwards once that fell through it was "Well MY price says 'x'..." was the response I got. Lol? Completely irrelevant when the public is the one to purchase and our menu is not correct. All in all this place is a rip off and...

I had a bad experience at that place the last time, I had ordered two burgers with two poutine,a guy took my order first, then I waited 45 minutes for it when it was time to get it I only got the burgers, I asked where's the two poutines? He said you ordered poutines? Yes I did, so he took my order and then there was only one poutine. I asked where's the second one? He said you ordered two? I said yes I did when the younger girl said ugh! And then banged her head on the counter infront of me. I was very surprised, and she processed to make the other one. As I waited to young one said Ma'ame out loud here's your other order with a dark stare. I'm never going back there again. There will come a day when little businesses like that will go under because of these very ingratitude people who think they can act like that without...
