The Viking Restaurant — Restaurant in Wawa

The decor was very nice and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. We had to flag the server down a couple of times to order and to ask for more coffee (which never came).

People who were seated after us were greeted first and their orders were taken before ours. It took over 15 minutes to get our appetizer of garlic bread. We noticed that our server checked on everyone around us and provided good service to all the other tables, but didn't check in on us. We had to flag her to get any attention. She was not as friendly towards us as she was with the other nearby tables.

My son is black and the experience was interpreted as racism because we were markedly treated differently than the other customers around us. I tried to bring the situation to the attention of the manager but the manager didn't want to listen to our experience and just made excuses about the food (which has nothing to do...

Went for dinner on Thu, Aug 5, arrived at 6:45pm and ordered at 6:50pm. At 8:00pm we asked the waitress how much longer it would be and let her know that we had been waiting over an hour, she laughed and said others had waited longer for their food. The restaurant was full and we saw only two tables served food the whole time we were there. We were told that their take out business was crazy and those orders were prioritized. At 8:15pm we were told our orders were up next and it would be another 25 to 30 minutes before we were served. We paid for our drinks and left, the Subway next door got our business that night. Many others walked out as well. Pretty awful customer service, no reflection on the wait staff, whoever was making decisions in the kitchen was fully responsible. Ironically, we were in Wawa a few days prior, ordered take out from this place and got our order in 15 minutes. ...

Only been here once time in my two weeks here, it's located near my motel which is a bonus. The hamburger I had was good (didn't have any sides) it took the waiteress awhile to get me a coffee let a lone a refill, though honestly it was one waiteress for the place and she was slammed with people (assuming because their competitor was closed). The waiteress was nice and tried to accommodate everyone during the hectic time.

The reason I give em three stars is they're charging people $1 to use their interac/credit card. Which department a illegal in Canada .. what's funny is myself and my boss both work for the Federal government and when we saw that we both had a few things to say to each other about it... Get rid of the practice of charging to use debit, incorporate the 'cost' into the items like your...
