I’m giving this Subway location a 1-star rating due to an incredibly disheartening experience I witnessed. A young man, clearly hungry, was unable to pay for his sandwich due to the storm preventing him from accessing cash. He had the funds but was unable to complete the transaction because the store wouldn’t accept e-transfer. Despite his desperate attempts—trying multiple ATMs and stores for cash back—your employees showed no empathy. The sandwich sat there, getting cold, while he pleaded for a solution.
What was most upsetting was the complete lack of compassion from the staff. They could have made an exception, covered the cost with their tip jar (which was full of change), or even offered the sandwich as an act of kindness. Instead, they let him struggle until my family and I stepped in to pay the $12.95.
No one should have to beg for food, especially when they have the means to pay under normal circumstances. This situation could have been handled with a little humanity, and it’s disappointing that your employees failed to show any. I truly hope you provide training on empathy and customer service because no one should be...
Read moreThis Subway is my only stop for food when travelling from SSM to Marathon. On Christmas Eve I called ahead to see if they would be open late as I did with gas stations in the area. Out of all the people I called, the gentleman at this Subway was the only one to answer his phone. Without knowing who I was or any guarantee he graciously offered to stay open 2.5 hrs past closing to make sure I had food for my trip. I called again half hour away and when I arrived he had my platter of subs, drink and soups ready to go to feed our convoy of truck drivers. Now well past closing and don't forget it's Christmas eve, he offered to stay later and make more food if needed. Other than this subway, there was nothing else moving, no one open to get food or gas. I was very fortunate to have met the owner and his family and how they saved the day for us. Needless to say, I stopped in on my way back and was greeted by name and a smile. 5 stars isn't enough for...
