Lefti's Kitchen + Bar — Restaurant in Welland

Good food. Been frequent customers. Now we Wont go back. Staff and Owner behave passive aggressively against people who have legitimate exemptions to the "manditory mask" law.

My wife and I arrived at 7pm, got our drinks and salad within about 20 minutes, then where made to wait for our dinner for another 40 minutes. We watched as 3 different couples who arrived after us were served thier dinners and recieved thier check before we got ours.

During this time the owner engaged with other tables and encouraged conversation that was rude, bigoted, and discriminatory. Going so far as to suggest those who don't wear masks ought to be subjected to police interrogation and added to a registry before being summarily sent to a quarantine facility for non compliance. Apparently "we deserve what we get" for exercising our rights under the law, the constitution, and the Ontario human rights act.

We politely waited for our food as we watched these same people get up, and mjngle with guests from other tables, contrary to the very guidelines they claim are sacrosanct.

The hypocrisy and vitriol was disgusting.

I respect peoples rights to believe what they want, and wear what they want if that's thier choice, and I won't harass them for it. However its clear there is no mutual respect.

We purchased one of the VIP cards for this restaurant and was very excited to try it out.

The other day, we ordered two entrées while under the impression that it was "buy 1 dinner with a beverage and get the 2nd one of equal or lesser value for free".

My fiance arrived at the restaurant to pick up our order at around 10pm. He got told that the "buy one get one" is dine in only.

No where on this card does it state it must be dine in. The serve told us that we read the card wrong and it is in fact for dine in only. This lead me to read the card, front and back, multiple times to see where it states the dine in only information - which I couldn't find.

To me, this restaurant should have honored what our VIP card states. OR they could have actually specified on the card so there's no miscommunication.

We paid $55 for our meal that we thought was going to be $25 and no one seemed to care that they we're not going to honor the VIP card that we PAID for, to try our their restaurant.

Its a shame this happened because the food was very good, however the VIP card mix up left a bad taste in our mouths.

We've also purchased a VIP card for Tailgates and the Kavern in the past and they've always stayed true to what information is on the card.

It is one the nicest place in town, The food Meat and salads are always fresh , the owner of this place really nice, keeps the place clean and tidy. I actually asked him how meat and vegetables taste much better then we get, He took me for a tour of restaurant kitchen. It was spotless clean, they are buying most of their meat and vegetables direct from the Local farms daily so there are no harmful chemicals and preservatives, Everything thing they make they make it from the scratch including all the sauces that are made using handpicked organic ingredients. He told us he love people and wants them to be healthy and happy, he tries his best to get most of his stuff organic and fresh always. I felt so happy about this place. If you need healthy and delicious food that’s the right place to go. Actually I feel everyone should visit once in a week as it’s a win win situation A) you get quality food B) Prices are very reasonable like a dinner for two was less than 50$ including 3 drinks. C) We must support Local Business that’s actually trying to keep us healthy with in our budget Rather than wasting our hard money on big chains who want to take our jobs by replacing with robots and self checkout machines on top of it they are selling junk food that is preserved for weeks sometimes months.
