I will start by saying "The best Indian food" I have ever had in Canada and that's almost 3 years now. We are strict vegetarians and avoid eating from even restaurants offering veg and non veg together. I've been a foodie all my life and finding a pure veg restaurant I can eat from was the first thing I tried looking for when I came here. Been to Brampton, Missisauga, Oakville, Hamilton all places for one and finally settled for Brar's in Brampton. People might laugh at us as we used to travel from Niagara Falls to Brampton "JUST TO EAT" and come back. But even then my taste buds kept on missing Ludhiana for just one bite of familiar flavors -UNTIL NOW. Earlier, I felt like all those reviews about this place were coming from Restaurant owner and workers as they looked too good to be true but ...seriously.... I would say everyone underappreciated this place. (After God) if someone would ever satisfy my soul in Canada is the chef who prepared my thali and chaap at Tikla masala. I am extremely delighted to have found this place in Welland... To the restaurant owner... "If I ever win a million dollar in lottery I will give half of the money to you to support your business." Considering what you started with, your business gonna grow really strong. Thanks for the food. I was like back in my home town in India for few minutes. I hope to get same flavors every time I visit you. And to add... Even the dealing was pretty good... Very friemdly... Thank you so much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis has to be one of the best experiences we have had after moving to Welland. I am so pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the taste. I was not expecting it to be so good.
They were out of a couple of options (they make fresh food daily) however, since I was willing to wait, they made what I wanted. I really appreciate that.
We ordered for the angaara paneer, lasuni chaap, samosa chole and the dal makhni. The angaara paneer was hot and smoky, just the way I like. The lasuni chaap had the softest soya chaap and was very flavourful. The chole with the samosa was cooked to perfection. The dal makhni reminded me of food back home. Extremely satisfying and comforting. And the portion size was extremely generous too.
I am glad to have found such an amazing place for Indian food so close to home. I know I will keep visiting. Keep up the good work guys. The quality and taste of food here is the new standard I will judge...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot gonna lie, I was NOT expecting this restaurant, placed in midst of nowhere, to be THIS good. I was a core meat eater and then turned Vegan for almost an year, however, the crave for non-veg food refused to die even after an year so I almost gave it up. The MALAI CHAAP that I found at this place, has been better than any of the Chicken/Mutton Kabobs, I have ever had. Every dish was nailed down. Daal Makhani was super flavorful and so was Nutri Kulcha. Loved the chef, he is too friendly and a thorough gentleman. I am contemplating turning Vegan again :) Going to return to this place whenever I visit Niagara. The only thing I wished is that if this restaurant could serve beer. The delectable Malai Chaap with a beer would make heck of...
