My experience at Tempus in Welland was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped by the beautiful ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The decor is modern yet cozy, creating a warm atmosphere that is both inviting and elegant. Perfect for an anniversary celebration or date night!

We sat at a table for two and we're more than comfortable in the arm chairs that sat over looking the Welland Canal. Often we ask for a bigger table than needed for fear of being stuffed in at the last table. At Tempus, our table for two was the best seat in the house!

The culinary journey began with the golden beet salad, which was a refreshing and vibrant start to the meal. The beets were tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with a delicate dressing that brought out their natural sweetness. It was a delightful blend of fresh ingredients that set the tone for the dishes to come. The calamari was equally impressive—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection.

Next, the gnocchi was nothing less than divine. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill, with the perfect blend of flavors and textures that left me savoring every mouthful. .

But what truly elevated the evening were the desserts. The banana cake was a creamy, decadent delight that danced on the palate. The banana cake was paired with a dollop of ice cream, caramelized banana's which offered a perfect balance of sweetness and texture, leaving a lasting impression long after the final bite.

Tempus, a gem nestled alongside the scenic Welland Canal, is sure to quickly become the talk of the town for its breathtaking views and delectable offerings. As you dine, you're treated to the serene sight of the canal's tranquil waters and the majestic bridge, making it a feast for the eyes as much as the palate.

During my visit, I indulged in the Tempus Burger, a seemingly simple yet exquisitely crafted dish. The burger boasted a perfect patty, cooked to juicy perfection, nestled within a soft bun. Accompanied by fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, onion and pickle. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors. The side of sweet potato fries was nothing short of impeccable—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a hint of sweetness that complemented the savory burger splendidly.

I opted for a classic whiskey and ginger ale (Two actually. This straightforward cocktail was elevated to new heights at Tempus. The whiskey, rich and smooth, melded seamlessly with the ginger ale, creating a refreshing and perfectly balanced drink that quickly became one of my favorites.

The meal concluded with their caramel banana cake, a true showstopper. This delivered a delightful sweetness that was not overpowering. This was a perfect finale to an exceptional dining experience.

My Wife and I have driven past Tempus numerous times noticing the recently renovated facade, we decided to stop in for dinner. We had sub par experiences at the previous restaurant and since it is located on what is easily the nicest patio in Wellend we yearned for a better experience. I must say the team at Tempus had us impressed from the second we walked in the door until we left. Servers were very knowledgeable and on point. They promptly took our drink order and gave us menu suggestions as well as the daily features. We decided to split the Charcuterie board which was more than enough deliciously sliced meats and accompaniments that we were unsure we would been able to even finish our mains. For our mains I ordered the veal chop which was tender and cooked to perfection with the masala Demi taking it over the top with flavour and not to mention something I don’t see on a lot of restaurants serve any more. My wife decided on the Chilean Sea bass with oyster mushrooms which was practically gone minutes after it hit the table due to its flaky consistency and bold flavours. Based on our overall experience I found the price point to be more than fair. We noticed owner and the Chef taking the time to do table checks and introductions.
