The new playground is pretty incredible! I hope people respect it, and dont destroy it. I grew up going to Chippawa park, i love the big open grassy hills.y 3 yo son can just RUN from one part of the park t[ the next and i dont have to worry about him being too close to the road. Tons of stuff here: a large duck pond, pavilions for picnics, a splash pad, a large playground and a toddler playground (too far apart though), beach volleyball, and a baseball diamond. There's lots of space to run around and a good amount of large shade trees. There are also lots of sidewalks, paths, and bridges to walk around on and lots of beautiful scenery and interesting monuments. Read moreOur little family visited Chippawa Park yesterday. We went to check out the new playground with our toddler. The renovated playground is great! There are three slide two bigger ones and one little on for toddlers ages 2-5. There are two big bell structures that kids can play and a bunch on sound plates that kids can touch to discover new sounds! I also really liked that the swing area was placed a little further back then the actual play structures. We will definitely be visiting this...
