Save your time & money... eat elsewhere. When we 1st arrived, there was no waitress in sight for almost 5 minutes. When she finally arrived from the back, she looked as though we were disturbing her. She sat us and gave us menus. The menu looked good, but boy was that deceiving. There were 7 of us, 3 were kids. 2 kids ordered the butter/parm noodles that showed up DROWNED in butter... and I mean half the bowl was melted butter 😳 One person ordered a steak (medium rare) with mashed & gravy. He got a well done steak, cold corn & fries (when the bill came, he was charged for the gravy & mashed he never recieved). Someone ordered the chicken club and ceaser salad. The chicken was burnt & the bread was toasted death!! The ceaser salad tasted unwashed and not good at all. I ordered the roast beef sandwich, that never arrived at the table with everyone else's food. I waited and noticed the waitress making drinks, taking frequent trips to the back, only to come out without my food and staying on the other side of the restaurant. I finally got up to ask about my meal (as no explanation was given when she delivered everyone else's food) and I was told "ya, it's not ready, I'll bring it when it is" in a snotty tone. When my food arrived, it was not what I ordered. I told her and she said "ya, they just made the wrong sandwhich"... no apology whatsoever was given. Besides them re-frying my fries and making them hard as a rock, the roast beef sandwich wasn't too bad. The waitress was not friendly & acted as though we were putting her out by being there. When we were leaving, another table neaby got her attention and asked for a missing meal at their table and were also met with a rude response about how "she will bring it when it's ready." The patron said "we also need ketchup" & the waitress just walked away. I grabbed our ketchup off our table and brought it to her. I ran a very busy restaurant in a tourist town & know that being friendly goes a long way as a server, especially when the food isn't up to par. They could do better... much better!! I won't ever return to find out if they have (I assume they won't, by reviews I've read, dating back a year ago)... but hopefully they do, for...
Read moreI would rate it a '0' if I could. By far the worst experience we have ever had. My family arrived at the restaurant at 6:15 last night and was told there was a 15 minute wait. (Ok, no problem) 5 minutes later we were seated at a table that hadn't been cleaned off yet. (Ok, no problem) after 15 minutes of sitting there we finally asked a waitress if we could order drinks and food?? No one ever came to see us, she said she would find our waitress. 5 minutes later we placed our entire order (drinks and food). At 730 we finally asked where our food was? This whole time we never saw our waitress again, so we asked the hostess. She replied there is a process and the food is made in order and a timing thing. I dont think she realized she worked in a restaurant. People who came in way after us, were already paying their bill. The food finally arrived a few minutes later, only to have my wife's medium rare steak to be way over cooked, charred actually. The steak even came out with a stick in it saying medium rare. The waitress apologized and said she would get another one. Of course we asked how long that would take?, and we were told probably just as long , because it would have to go back in line. So instead of making her steak a priority since we just waited an hour for it, we would have to wait another hour. I'm pretty sure a medium rare steak should take only 10 minutes to cook. So after being at the restaurant for 1hour and 45 minutes, my wife never even got to eat anything. We werent the only ones complaining either, we saw at least 4 other tables with some sort of issues, but the shift manager made her way to all of them but not us. 1 couple waited 20 minutes to pay. For a place with maybe 30 tables, lots of horrible reviews about the service, and in a small populated area this restaurant will be out of business in 6 months, unless something dramatic happens. Too bad to, the prices are great, but not worth...
Read moreI’ve given the Arthur location a 1 Star rating only by virtue of the fact that once our food finally arrived, it was delicious. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:20 p.m. on a Saturday. The 5 of us were seated right away. It took a bit longer that we would have expected to have our server arrive and take our drink orders but it wasn’t a big deal. Our food order consisted on 2 steaks, 2 burgers and a dinner salad. No appetizer and no special requirements. We then spent the next ONE HOUR watching as 5 tables that were seated AFTER us, received their food which were similar orders to ours. Two of these tables finished their food and left while we were still eating! We had to flag down our server for drink refills. I finally got tired of waiting for our food and asked our server when our order would be coming out. She said “It will be out next”. 5 minutes later it arrived. No explanation was given for the long delay and no apology was offered. I have a feeling that she forgot to put in our order in the first place which bumped us down the line. Needless to say, I did not tip the server. This is NOT something that I like to do. I even tip (usually 5-10%) at a buffet! Also, their prices appear to be reasonable but beware. First, they add a 3% “Honest to Goodness” fee. It is explained in the menu. They also charge for ANY substitution. For example: almost every entrée meal comes with fries and corn on the cob. If you swap out the fries for something else, you are charged extra. It’s not like other restaurants where you have a choice of sides. Based on the service that I received in Arthur and the “hidden” costs, I’m not sure that I’ll be eating at any Chuck’s Roadhouse...
