First let me say I know this type of place is not a five star restaurant but one would hope the food would be good. Our server, Victoria was wonderful her enthusiasm was contagious. I was waiting for my sister to arrive Victoria suggested I have a drink while I was waiting and promptly brought over my drink. I watched her as she interacted with other patrons all of it was positive and fun bantering. My sister arrived and since we hadn’t seen each other for a while she wanted to take a picture together so we took a selfie. Well Victoria saw this came over and said she would take a picture of the two of us. Now that is service.
We learned that this place had been renovated recently it was rather dark but I get it they were going for a sports bar theme but lighting over the booths could have been better
I ordered the chicken club and fries and my sister ordered the fish and chips. My sister said the fish was ok, in my opinion under done but the fries were awful. I will explain the fries after I describe the chicken club. It was processed chicken on a soft roll with burnt pieces of bacon miracle whip and wilted lettuce ohh did I mention no tomato. The fries I could tell were fresh cut but most likely left out to brown before being deep fried they were mushy on the inside dark and oily on the outside. Victoria was very apologetic asked if there was anything she could do to make it right. I indicated that this is not her fault and when we paid I tipped her well for her excellent service. The next time I am in Arthur to meet my sister we will again try this pub and I hope the owners make the necessary changes that I will be able to give it a better review.
Small businesses are the life blood of our country and I hate giving bad reviews but it’s also important that they know what is going on in...

Read moreIt was my first time at The Tipsy Fox. We were seated fairly quickly. They had a 3 course menu special (in addition to their huge menu) for Valentine's Day. The Valentine menu offered several possibilities for $45 pp. A violinist was playing music. The table had candlelight. I chose the hot crab dip with soft pita triangles for my appetizer. It was delicious! The pita tasted bbq’d, the dip was delightfully creamy. My friend opted for the garden salad. He said it was fresh and the balsamic dressing was nice. For the main we both chose Beef Wellington. It was so incredibly tasty. A crispy pastry shell encased a delicious piece of beef tender beef tenderloin; topped by a creamy rich mushroom sauce. Sides included a fabulous selection of grilled peppers, carrots and zucchini as well as light and delicious whipped potatoes. For dessert I indulged in the rich caramel cake topped with salted caramel sauce and whipped cream on the side. My friend chose the chocolate brownie with whipped cream. Both were delicious! Portions were huge. Service was impeccable - our server was friendly, fun, efficient & and observant while respecting our privacy. She definitely deserves 5 stars(of 5). Super! Atmosphere is a personal preference & depends on what diners are looking for. It is a sports themed restaurant bar. The space is wide open with lots of seating. I personally fond it too open and too bright for dining. It was full and the assumedly local guest atmosphere was friendly. I definitely recommend The Tipsy Fox & will certainly look forward to returning! Great place! Thank you to all of the...
