I wished I would have read the reviews before wasting my money in this place, reallyyy! I’ve been obsessed with McDonalds for the longest time, but I got people telling me that I should explore my options blah, blah, blah… so I decided to try something different like Wendy’s. I decided to head to this location, mainly because is close from home.
The first thing I heard on the drive through is very low key voice saying: “Hey, can I take your order?”. At McDonalds you always hear a welcoming voice like: “Hi, what can I get for you today?” is vibrant and even though you came for a smoothie you want to leave a place with something else.
Moving on… I get to the drive through (there’s nobody else behind me in line) and ordered a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger Combo (it’s my first time at Wendy’s so I don’t know what the heck I’m ordering), the low energy man says that there’s no combo for that burger. That’s alright! But he doesn’t even walk me through what options similar to what I’m ordering has a combo!!! He could simply say: Hey we don’t have a combo for the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger but we have it for the Bacon Cheeseburger… something like that.
I carry on an ordered only the Jr. option, but I really wanted to add the fries and a drink. I fist ordered the burger and just seconds later I just asked him to include a drink and some fries. I could tell by the speaker that it eventually cause some inconvenience (I don’t know what was the cause of such inconvenience because that’s his job!). I drove by the window to pay for my order without hearing in the speaker: “ok, come on up to the next window” like other places do. It was complete silence! When I went to the window to pay he looked clearly annoyed.
Moving on the next window, where the food is delivered I encountered another guy that had from zero to none social skills. “Here is your food” is what I could manage to hear while he mumbled. No “have a good day” NOTHING! And he literally handed the bag like if he was handing dirty laundry. I noticed the same thing with the car in front of me. In other places the staff makes a little fold on top of the bag and give it to the customer. This guy at Wendy’s literally crumpled one corner of the bag while the other was hanging for me to grab.
Let’s talk about the food! Completely tasteless. Nothing!!! Just like thin air with some extra pepper.
Needlessly to say I’m never coming back to Wendy’s… EVER!! Complete waste of time and money, where everything from the staff to the food is 🗑️

Read moreWhere do I begin? I have been going to this Wendy's location for most of the twenty-something years I've lived in Barrie. I have never had any negative experiences until today. I drove up to the order window and a young lady came on the intercom. Unfortunately, she spoke really quiet and I had a hard time hearing her. At one point I thought she ended the order, so I said "Uhm, hello?" Oh my gosh! The rudest, loudest, most unprofessional woman's voice came screaming over the intercom system yelling "YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE RUDE! SHE'S TRAINING!!" I was like wth? Even my passengers were confused by her behavior. I finished placing my order and drove to the first window. I asked the young lady if she was the one who took my order. She said no. I explained what happened b/c I wanted to apologize and say that if it was her I didn't mean to sound rude. I just couldn't hear the person speaking. She explained it was the young lady at the second window. I also asked if the screamer was there? Because she was unprofessional and needed help. I finished paying and drove to the second window. Another young lady was there and I asked if she took my order. She said yes, and I apologized to her if I came across rude I had a hard timing hearing her. Then I asked if the rude lady was there so I could explain what happened. Well she went to get her and I swear the spitting image of Ms. Trunchbull came to the window. I later found out her name is Wendy. She was so rude! I had to laugh at how disgustingly unprofessional she behaved. I explained I have a hard time hearing and couldn't hear what the young lady was saying. And that screaming into the microphone over the intercom wasn't necessary. She wouldn't even allow me to speak or explain myself. She told me I could take my business somewhere else closed the window and walked away. After that experience. Oh, I absolutely will. It's unfortunate because I know a lot of young people who have started their first jobs at this location and I've always found people friendly. Not sure if Wendy felt a need to prove herself to the new hire? But Wendy. Get it together before you deal with the public. I think we'll find a new place to spend our money. Gave service a 1 in this review because of Wendy. Wish I could give a 0. If she didn't come over the intercom it would have been a 4. Word of advice teach Wendy some customer service before she ruins your location reputation. Seems like I'm not the only review...
Read moreI went there today with two of my co-workers to buy lunch. When we came back I realized my burger was missing, so I dropped off my co-workers at work and drove back to Wendy's to get my burger that was "forgotten. It was busy, waited in lineup until get to the speaker, explain what happened, are told to drive through to the window. There is a blond lady at the window who said she was the manager, (I didnt get her name). showed her the receipt, she said she herself put two burgers in the bag and she is sure there was not a mistake. I explain to her that I wont miss my half an hour lunch to drive back and forth for a $8 burger, she argued with me for another few minutes, finally goes inside and comes back with the burger, almost throws at me and says: "I know you are lying". I come back to work and my co-workers tell me that in fact my burger was in their bag! I call the restaurant back, ask for manager, ask her name, she wont tell me. Tell her that she was right, and there was not a missing burger. I will bring her burger back for her after my shift at work is done. However I do not appreciate being called a liar. She hangs up the phone on me. This is the first time ever I am writing one of these google reviews, but I was upset enough to do it. Extremely rude and unprofessional manager. I hope someone (the owner or a higher manager) talks to her so other people wont have experiences like I did today. Regardless to say, will never buy at...
