I’m writing this after yet another disappointing experience at THIS LOCATION. We went in around 9:35–9:45PM, well before closing time (which is clearly listed as 10 PM). The moment we walked in, there was no greeting - nothing even close to a basic acknowledgment. Instead, we were met with unfriendly faces and a clear attitude, as if we were doing something wrong just by walking into the store. When we asked for ice cream, we were bluntly told that they couldn’t serve us because they had already started cleaning. Excuse me? If your closing time is 10 PM, that means customers should be able to get service until then. Cleaning should not begin while customers are still allowed in. That’s not just inconvenient for us—it’s false advertising and incredibly unprofessional. It was clear the staff (two young girls) were just trying to close early for their own convenience. They didn’t even try to hide their attitude, eye rolls and annoyed expressions the entire time. If your staff can’t even pretend to be welcoming, why are they working in customer service? What makes this even worse is that this isn’t a one-time issue. I’ve come here several times hoping things would improve, and every single time the experience is the same. I’ve now seen other reviews describing exactly what I went through, so clearly, this is a known problem that no one’s doing anything about. Something seriously needs to change. Either train your staff on basic customer service, or consider hiring people who actually want to work. However due to my last visit I only gave 3 stars. The prices are OK if you over indulge in the mixins.
We got there at 9:25pm. They close at 10pm.
There were about 7 people ahead of us. We didn't mind the wait as it's a treat. We chatted for a while while waiting to pass time.
2 girls on the counter - one was only doing skip the dishes orders. So only one serving the counter.
I have never witnessed an employee move so slow.
At 9:45 - we had been there 20 minutes and only 1 person was served so far and she was making the next persons cone. You could tell people were getting frustrated. At 9:50 2 more customers walked in, to which the employee came over, told them she would not serve them due to the line up, and also told them we wouldn't be served either. She NEVER mentioned that once to us the entire half hour we were in there. She said no one can be served after 10pm.
I was quite annoyed they knew how long we had been in there.. maybe you should stop serving on SKIP if you can't handle in store customers.. I've seen it many times where a business closes skip due to volume.

I asked for the cheesecake flavoured ice cream & toppings such as raspberries, crushed graham crackers, strawberries, chocolate chips & brownie bites. The girl working there never gave me toppings. I then asked her politely, “oh would it be okay to add some toppings?” Then she said in the most rude possible way, “oh— I can’t because it’s already in the bowl...” THE AUDACITY! It was still behind the counter, she should have just taken it out the bowl & mixed in toppings. She was incredibly lazy (don’t understand how you can hire someone as incompetent as her) & I’m so upset because I paid $9 for a large bowl of plain cheesecake flavoured ice cream. This WAS my favourite ice cream shop & now after this unpleasant experience I won’t be coming back. My boyfriend & I have been coming here every week for the past 6 months & will NEVER be returning because of this...
