KFC — Restaurant in West River

This restaurant does one thing. All day. I’m mystified why its beyond their abilities to prepare decent fried chicken.

KFC can be such a treat when it’s done well. It’s not done well here, and it’s soooo not worth the cash or calorie splurge.

This was my second visit and it was an exact repeat of the first experience last summer. We arrived at 5:30pm - (a time you’d expect fresh food - right?) and paid almost $30 for two disappointing meals. We received tiny pieces of chicken with shredded, wet skin (not just soggy - the skin was actually wet and gooey!) shrouding rubbery, tough, flavourless meat. The side of cold fries made this dinner even more depressing. I can only assume the food had been hastily prepared and sat under a poorly tended, tepid heat lamp for a very long time before it was shovelled into a bag for us.

The consistently atrocious food will keep us from giving this location another chance. I will wait to enjoy my next KFC meal at a location where the owner takes some pride in...

So my mother who is 65 years old went through your drive through shortly before 5pm and ordered 2 large popcorn chicken. Came to $28. Her not knowing the error got home with 2 small. Even those weren't even full. What kind of a business are you running in Antigonish? They didn't even give her a receipt! I have never been so furious with any fast food location in my life. Almost $30 she pays and got 2 half empty kids sizes or something?! Even worse we live 55 minutes from town so we couldn't even return. Does this place not have a manager or supervisor monitoring what...
